Calendar Girls

Here are the ladies who are on the Wray & Nephew Calendar for 2008. I came across the pictures of the photo shoot on Watever dot com and thought I should link up the guy readers to them. Yeah, ladies, I am idle, I know. Got not a rass to do thats real fun, I can’t even go to the beach, because the water is cold! Only tourists can handle the water like that, yo! Anyway, I think the pick of the calendar girls is the one on the right in the picture above. Phew, its getting hot in here! )

Because she is so nice, I am going to play her twice! She is in the picture below!

Go check the pictures from the photo shoot out and see if you agree with me. “Blondie” looks nice too, but I can’t take the “big hair” phenomenon. Maybe the hair is detachible though, there’s a thought! The other girl is nice too, but for me, the girl on the right wins the prize, everytime!

Limber She Limber

When ya is a child ya parents duz tell ya some of all sorts of things in an effort to guide ya in the right path. Well at least mine did. Not so sure bout these two that had their toddlers high on cocaine but that is another story for another time.

I not sure if ya duz absorb all of your parents teachings or even if the most relevant and important ones duz stick in ya head but some do stick while others dont. A so it a go. Still they say repetition is a good way for kids to learn so the more you hear it the more it gets into your subconscious and sometimes long after, even when you didnt realize you had learned the lesson something will happen and all a sudden bram that saying or rule your parents pushed will pop out your head in the relevant situation. I lie?

Well de saying that popped into my head the most lately is the whole be careful who your friends are and who ya hang out with. You can and will get into trouble through wrong association so choose ya friends wisely.

I think of this saying cause of all the recent black celebrities that have been getting into trouble and having their friends and companions turn on them. It happen wid de one Michael Vick, it happen with OJ and it happen with that rapper fella TI de odda day.

Now dont get me wrong here. I honestly feel that all three a these fellas is idiots and guilty and you do the crime you do the time. I also wouldn’t get an complain about any no-snitching rule either cause we tend to use that in and out of place these days. If someone sees a crime in their neighborhood and reports it to the police we shouldn’t be ridiculing them for doing the right thing. Naa I cant condone that stupid sort of thinking.

No is just that when you look at these cases with OJ and the rest you will see that although they were in a bad spot through their own fault, things got worse cause the guys they hung out with, their pals, their comrades in crime just up so and turn on them. Wha dat tell you? They was hanging out with the wrong people!

Yea its not the main point to be gathered from these stories. The main point is that you need to stay away from the criminal acts cause you will get caught. But I know everybody familiar with the main story so I looking at the auxillary wun. Things would have been bad regardless but its got to be even worse when the fellas you was working with to do your thing just up so and turn ad start giving evidence on you. If these fellas had chosen the people they hang out with properly nuttin so wud happen.

What a Gwaan

Some months ago, Sir Trouble wrote an post on plans for impending changes at Cayman Airways. He revealed a dastardly plot to remove Sir Turtle from the tails of all Cayman Airways planes. I was rather distressed by the news and I added my voice to his, decrying the move for being what it was (in our humble opinions) : Dyam Chupid!

Then, on Monday, I received a phone call from my doctor’s office. Apparently they had overcharged me when last I was there, and so the receptionist (a nice looking young lady if ever there was one) called to ask me to drop by to pick up the difference between what they had charged and what they should have charged. I was glad for it. As a matter of fact, when they charged me on the occasion of my last visit, I paid the money over without complaint, but I resolved there and then that I was never going to return! Now that I see that a mistake was made and they have refunded me over half the money, I may well go back. But I digress.

When I was leaving the doctor’s office, I spied a jet flying over, sort of low in the sky, and I looked up at it and thought to myself, “Hmmm… I wonder which airline that is? I don’t recognise the markings on the plane at all, but it looks really nice.”.

Then, in today’s newspaper, I saw that the airplane with the irie looking markings is in fact Cayman Airways! They have gone ahead and done the rebranding, and guess what? I like it!

Now check this out! Sir Turtle is not dead! (Thank God!) Far from it! He has been moved from the tail to a spot on the fuselage near to the front doors. The new graphic which replaced him on the tail section was inspired by the Caymanian Coat of Arms, they say, and trust me, it looks sweet! Here is a close up view of the tail.

So, what all yuh think of the new look Cayman Airways?

In other news, I went on vacation today and will be out of office until next week Tuesday! ) Sweet, huh? Yeah, bubu, I go be chillin’ at my yard with a pretty damsel! Does it get any better than this? Actually, I can think of one or two scenarios where it could get better, like maybe I could have tickets for two to some irie, romantic destination, like for instance a likkle cottage in Negril, or maybe I could be chillin’ at my yard with TWO OR THREE damsels (whom I get to pick! ), both of whom have nothing on their mind but to maximise my pleasure, but as things stand right now, I must say they are quite satisfying. )
Today went pretty well too…. nice and relaxing, and Natty and I went to the gym together! That was fun, especially the “together” part. If she decides that she wants to continue with the gym, we won’t be able to go together because we won’t have anyone to keep an eye on MBJr. while we are gone. Yeah, I know, you have heard of this issue before, but why not, it permeates every aspect of our lives! Check this out! They are showing “American Gangster” and “Why did I get married?” at the movie theatre here and I would like to see both of them, and guess what? Same issue! Its actually becoming a bit tiresome! (

People, I must say that I am on the verge of doing something momentous about it! I am going to phone my family members and demand that they all move to Grand Cayman so that they can be on hand to help out a brother in need or they will face my wrath!! Why, I’ll… I’ll… I’ll write them out of my will, thats what I’ll do! And if any of them laugh at me over that, I’ll… I’ll… I’ll cry! Yeah! That ought to do it!

Ok, so that probably won’t work, but I will think of something! They’ll see!

Anyways, I don’t have anything glamorous planned for my vacation but I suspect I will enjoy it anyway. To make it a little more irie, maybe we can get a reprieve from the cold front that has been giving us a good blow job for awhile so that I can go to the beach down by West Bay Public Beach. Thats like my favourite spot.

Listen, I man gone, you hear. I am going to go shoot a little pool. Talk to you again. Peace.

Nice Teeth!

Posted in General on October 29th, 2007 by Mad Bull

Found this photo while surfing through PartySurfers.ky this morning and was struck by the beautiful smiles on these ladies. What lovely teeth they have. I also like their dresses… and the “chain” on the lady on the right! -)
Yes, rasta, she knows how to accessorise perfectly for that outfit. By the way, the photo is from the group taken at the Hieneken Green Synergy finals in Jamaica. I guess those are Jamaicans rather than Caymanians. Most likely, huh? Here is a picture of another interesting looking Jamaican lady, but this time I cannot comment on her teeth. She won the Jamaica Star’s “Femme Fashion” competition last week.

Anyway, not too much to report this morning except apparently the whole island will be aswarm with the Honduran Green Iguana, Dengue Fever seems to be rearing its ugly head and it looks like we are in for nuff, nuff rain… generally speaking, whatever lick Jamdown always comes on over to us shortly afterwards! Cho, me tired of the blasted rain! ? ??:

How Was Your Weekend?

Posted in How Awful?!, Interesting Stuff, Thoughtful, General on October 22nd, 2007 by Mad Bull

Mine was pretty decent still. Friday night was fucked, actually, but the rest of the weekend was pretty irie. So what made Friday fucked up? Well, Friday, Natty and I went clubbing, in an after, after work sort of way. All my co-workers who we were to be hanging with for part of the nite left as work was finished, but Natty and I had to set MBJr. up with a sitter, a process that took about two more hours, so we were already several drinks behind them when I bucked them up finally at “The Office” (a local bar and lounge). I should have realised that I would never be able to catch up.

I was past hungry by the time we got there, so we ordered some of that overly oily chicken wings and fries that they serve there. The gas in my system combined in a less-than-optimal way with the liquor and the oily food and so I wasn’t feeling 100% from early o’clock! Then we left “The Office” and went to “DLK” - the same bar by Dump Road where I was ganged some time ago. The place did ram! Nuff nuff ppl, all crowding the place and outting on some dancing. Natty and I stood up in a corner sipping on our drinks and watching the people. As I stood there watching them dance and have a great time, I realised that everybody else was having a blast and I was not.

That pissed me off and so I left with Natty, hoping to join up with HER crew. We went by “Harry’s Bar” and we realised that her crew never made it at all. The vibe was just absolutely absent. I didn’t even finish the drink I got when I went in. About half way through, I just put that sucker down and Natty and I left for home, where I lay down in my bed and fell instantly asleep.

Saturday and Sunday were cool though. I decided to do some work on a website I have been loafing on building, then I linked up a woman I used to work with and did some work with her on some code she couldn’t get working. After that I linked up with the guy I was doing the website for and showed him the pages. We spent some time going over it, then we drove up and down taking a few pictures to use to create a banner for the site.

After that, I went home and did some more work on the code I was helping the lady with. A substantial amount of that code is now written. As a result of my efforts with the code , I had to muck around quite a bit with SQL Server 2005 and I must say I learned a lot! I got a lot of things worked out and configured with the SQL Server software loaded on Compi as well, so that was irie.

In the evening, I set up this redundant PC I picked up from work for fifty bucks, then I loaded it up with Ubuntu Server. That was interesting as well. I now have a nice little LAMP box to fool around with. This is great! I plan to use this box to get more familiar with PHP coding and MySQL databases and perhaps with some Java coding as well. We shall see if I ever find the time! ? ??:

I guess if I spend less time blogging and more doing this coding / database / web app work, I may learn something and may even create something interesting. Perhaps I may even become worthy enough to at least grovel at the feet of one such as Owen or Taylor. If the stuff I develop is good enough to sell, that would be irie too! )

On Sunday, I did a bit of reading of a novel, (Jean M. Auel’s “The Valley of Horses“), I watched the final 24 CD I had to watch, thus finishing up the third season finally, and then I went to the Gym. (that was irie, I love how I feel after the workout). We went out to Canton Restaurant for a great lunch, then we came home. I lounged around until dark descended, then we went for a drive around East End and North Side, then back to Bodden Town, just to get out of the house. Later on that night, I configured an FTP server on the Ubuntu LAMP server and ftp’ed over some web pages to it, just to see how well it served up the pages. It was great.

There you have it. A great tech weekend! I haven’t done something like that in a long time. Perhaps that is why it was so much fun! )

Did I manage to keep you here or did I bore you to tears?

Well, for those of you still here, check this out:

Well, Well, WELL WELL WELL!!!

Posted in Crazy Shyte, Interesting Stuff, Thoughtful, Sad on October 7th, 2007 by Mad Bull

Wow! Apparently a lot of Jamaican men have been having paternity tests done recently and the “rate of exclusion” is pretty high! What is the rate of exclusion? That is basically saying that the men are proven NOT to be the father of the children that they have been supporting!

What a preckeh! It sounds like we cyah trust these women as far as we can throw them, and when you look at the size of some of the “mampy” ones, you know say we cyah throw them very far at all! mad

So, what is the actual rate at which the men are being proven NOT to be the father of these picknies? Well, the people who are doing the testing have been running a little study. Their study won’t be complete until the end of August, so they won’t know for sure until then, but so far, it appears that one in every three men who does the test has been “given a jacket”! The testers suspect that the final figures at the end of the month will show that the ratio will be even worse than that! o

Can you believe it? Is this REALLY how tricky Jamaican women are? Mi God! Yardie women, what oonoo have to say for oonoo-self? o

I don’t know about you, but I plan to check in when month end comes around for the final figures!

Does anyone know where we can get figures that will show how our women compare to women of other Caribbean countries, as well as to women from the U.S. and Canada, and perhaps to women from the various countries of South America as well?

Serious Soca

This news item caught my attention today: Thousands of fake cheques worth some £8m ($16.2m) have been seized in an attack on international e-mail scams. The cheques, offered as prizes in exchange for a fee and destined for the UK, were recovered in Nigeria by the Serious Organised Crime Agency (Soca).

Serious Organized Crime Agency? Soca! Well I guess that acronym works up there with the British but I bet that it wouldn’t work in the Caribbean. We would be like you expect me to tek Soca serious? Look boy de only time I duz tek soca serious is Carnival time eh he! And everytime a man pull out his badge and it say soca we would be asking him hummuch tune he singing this year.

Of course it might catch on and if a fella behave bad we might warn him ‘Try and behave or I gine throw some Soca in ya tail’ or see headlines like ‘Soca sharing liks’. and if Soca get into trouble is ‘Baccanal at Soca’.

Things like this though remind me that words have different meanings in different locales. Ya duz got to be careful about who ya say certain things to. Let me tell ya bout this one time Read more »
