Update.
I must say that I was very pleased by the amount of get well wishes I received via my blog, many from people that I do not even know. Thank you all again. I am feeling much better, but still not quite myself as yet. I hope to make it to the beach on the weekend, the salty air and water should help me to decongest and ‘clear my sinuses’.
I guess it must be Murphy’s Law. I have mentioned recently, that my unit at work is shortstaffed at the moment. Well, everytime that this happens, the workload seems to escalate and we get our share of more ill patients. As a result of this, I have not been able to take any time off on account of not feeling well. Groan.
Today will prove a long day as well, as Friday is one of the busiest days in our schedule (do I hate that, on a day when things should be winding down for the weekend). Anyhow, no use grumbling, I will simply brace myself for the day, at least it’s not my turn to teach the students today. I did that on Wednesday, with a hoarse voice and runny nose!
Well TGIFF. Note the extra F. If you can’t translate it, tough!
It’s a true reflection of how I feel and praises to the Almighty, I am off this weekend. I am looking forward to driving out of the hospital this evening for a well deserved two days off! (Pardon me if my thoughts seem to be a bit screwed up, I think you can understand what I am trying to get across.) Hey, I almost forgot, next week Thursday is a public holiday, Emancipation day! That is something to look forward to also, and my name is NOT on the rota. (BIG GRIN!!!) (Anybody who may be reading this rant which really equates to nothing, must think that I am some sort of medically educated bum! You may well be right!)
I am still in need of something decent to post about. The newspaper failed again. Perhaps over the weekend or this evening I will come up with a topic. Before I close, I would just like to wish all of the Jamaican athletes who are participating in the Commonwealth Games in Manchester, all the best of luck. Continue to make the yellow, green and black flag fly high in the sky. Have to get ready for the four letter word folks (work i.e.) Later.
