Tower Of Babel

Well, it is no secret, we are in the direct pathway of Tropical Storm Lili. What a drag! Not exactly my idea of how to spend the weekend. I guess if it is any consolation, I am not due in at work again until Monday. During my lunchtime, I tried to get a FEW very basic food items at the supermarket. Big mistake! I could not even get a parking space, not to mention it took minutes to get out of the place. So. I drove on Barbican Road and went to a very small supermarket off the beaten track. No problem! Very few people doing the same stuff I was. So I bought bread, some sardines, candles, matches and batteries. That’s it! When one prepares for these damn things, nothing happens. It only benefits the merchants and my house is not exactly short on food. So, just in case you do not hear from me because of power outages, let’s just hope no major disaster will occur.
