Mad Cow Disease takes Jamaican in U.S.

The first case of Mad Cow Disease to be diagnosed in the U.S. has occurred in a Jamaican. I read this sad story this morning. This rather attractive Jamaican young woman apparently contracted the disease Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy(BSE) while growing up in England. She left the U.K. at age 12 and migrated to America. Recently, as a young adult she has been diagnosed as the first case of BSE in the U.S. Naturally, her family is quite distraught as this illness is fatal. I hope that her family will be able to spend some quality time with her, but it will not be easy in the long run to cope with such emotional trauma. I hope that God will grant them the strength to accept what is to come. Sad stuff.

In the year I was in England, I do not think I ate beef twice at all. I was most careful, despite the fact that it was cheap (naturally, it was not selling!) Nowadays, even though we do not have Mad Cow Disease here (as far as I’m aware), I scarcely eat beef at all. Mostly chicken, sea food and pork.

I am going to end with a little joke directed at ……who else, my bredren who got me into blogging! Here goes.

I have now started to think that since Mad Cow Disease exists, there seems to be a new varaint developing called Mad Bull Disease! I think I have diagnosed the first case in my bredren unfortunately. (So I guess we do have it here!) This is hot off the press, I wonder if I can get a reputable Medical Journal to accept this information for publication?? One only needs to read this yute’s blog and you’ll be quite convinced that he is mentally screwed up!! Jus cool my yute. After all what are bredrens for??? Cool vibes all.

Oh my…..MadBull Disease. I could say that it strikes women and gay men…and that it causes us to lust after men named Karl….but….well…. We need a disease that would cause the same reaction over doctors….especially ones who are so very kind to crazy American women.

Hey doc, I too saw the story on CNN about the young girl with the mad cow’s disease - poor soul, she’s quite unaware of what’s going on around her…at least it looks that way to me. What a sad state of affairs. I didn’t know she is Jamaican. I thought she was of Indian descent growing up in the UK - poor thing. We just have to continue to pray for our world and the people therein. I do appreciate the Mad Bull joke though - quite humourous!! I am sure that Mad Bull’s expression would be something like this..

Yes Rufie, if you notice, he did not bother to take me on and leave a comment!

I’m really sorry to know that a Jamaican contracted the mad cow disease. When you think that you might not even take chances (like eating beef) and then out of the blues you contract the mad cow disease. How long does it take to show up in human anyway? She seemed to had it for a long time before it showed up.
