Darkness looms….
It seems as if we may be facing darkness again if some sort of agreement is not reached by midday today. Read this Gleaner article and you will understand why!
Let’s hope that they can come to some sort of agreement, as I am sure that if they do not, power cuts will result. These only have a negative effect on our country’s economy which is already screwed! I am in solidarity with the workers though, as I understand that the new owners of our Light and Power company are some mean mfers!! They don’t seem to have much regard for the people who work for them. I detest that sort of management strategy. A company is only as good as its staff and if the staff are unhappy then production falls, morale is low and things go haywire.
Let’s hope we don’t have to be fumbling around by candlelight later tonight. Don’t stop the progress indeed. Tings looking dark to rass in Jamaica!

November 27th, 2002 at 7:25 am Well, I read in this morning’s Gleaner that they have gone on strike. I have not had any power outages as yet though. I’m sure if it continues there will be outages however. Let’s hope it is resolved quickly,
