Some lime!
Last night I made preparations to have a drink up with some of the folks I went to high school with for Christmas. I started preparing for this from Wednesday evening. In honesty, I was expecting about 12 , perhaps 15 people. Hmph!
Were it not for Mad Bull, Heathcliffe and Twin Batty, there would have been no drink up. Anyway, it is no problem, there just simply will not be any future planning from my side. For those of you who turned up, thanks for coming, the company was good. And the jerk chicken, pork and breadfruit that Twin Batty brought made good eating.
As for me, whatever preparations that I had planned to make for Christmas are now finished as the traffic from hell that comes with Christmas every year, is out in full force. Not much else to report from me, so ’till next time, have a good one!
December 21st, 2002 at 7:47 pm Don’t worry, Dr. D. It was a good little lime, despite the fact that the others didn’t show up
December 21st, 2002 at 9:40 pm I never came because you didn’t set up any cream soda for me, you know how duppy love cream soda
December 22nd, 2002 at 11:55 am I’d have come, but wasn’t invited, and you are way too darn far away for us to come drop by. However, tempting with food and drinks, well, let me check out flight schedules…
December 22nd, 2002 at 2:12 pm Yow Duppy, you welcome my yute (assuming dat you are male) and BTW, cream soda did deh yah, so if that is your forte, you could have got all drunk on that. Anyhow, me nuh want you leave at all, come ‘haunt’ anytime you ready, seen? It was not a pay affair at all, some of the guys did offer a contribution and it was well received, but me neva tell nobody fe walk wid money. Anyhow, a nuh nutten still. Respec.
Desiree, yes, you are pretty far away, but with commercial travel, the world is now a very small place, though I can tell you (and I am sure you know) that the Christmastime fares are greatly inflated! However, I am sure that you would have welcomed a break from the rather bitter cold up there in Canada. Just thinking about it, makes me feel sad
for you. Anyhow, I guess you are accustomed to it!
December 22nd, 2002 at 3:21 pm Dr. D, you should have come to the concert last night. It was wicked.
December 22nd, 2002 at 6:43 pm Happy Holidays, Doc!
December 23rd, 2002 at 7:53 am I think duppy is a girl.
December 24th, 2002 at 2:21 pm Hey Doc…sorry that I couldn’t make it despite my looking forward to the lime.
December 24th, 2002 at 6:15 pm LOL… no need to feel sad for me Dr. D… the cold is necessary for downhill skiing, snow tubing and other fun winter activities. As well… Christmas would be very strange without snow around, I have NEVER had a Christmas with no snow. As much as us Northerners like to travel South for visits, we are accustomed to the snow and cold. I wonder if you ever crave for the experience of skiing in snow? Like what you see when you see it on winter olympics?
