Bald or no?
Yesterday after work I went to the barber for a haircut. Mentally, I have been toying with a change in my current hairstyle for a few months. I have been keeping it low and combed forward and have had it this way for about 5 or 6 years now. Hence, I have been thinking it is time for a change.
Now as rowdy as I can get sometimes, I am a fairly conservative individual, so were I to decide on a change it would not be anything weird or drastic. When I arrived at the barber, my barber had stepped out for a few minutes. So his colleagues called him on his cell and he said he would be back in about 15 minutes, so I decided to wait. I sat in the waiting chair and lo and behold, I fell asleep!
I guess I was more tired than I had realized. Anyway, eventually, I was awakened by the sound of my barber’s voice. I will call him Pablo. We chatted and I told him that I was thinking about a change. He said to me, “Why not just go bald and shave it completely?” I said to him, “You mussi rass mad!” He laughed and told me that he thought that being popular as it has been for quite some time now, that bald would look good on me. Well, guess what? I declined. So, I have my same old cut, perhaps just a bit shorter than usual. I do not think that I would look good bald at all.
Then when I was leaving, the receptionist asked me if I was aware of the other services they offered apart from haircuts. So, I told her no. She asked me if I was interested in manicures and pedicures. I said that I did that myself, not really a man thing. Just clipping of nails when necessary really. She then went on to say that I would be surprised at the number of males who came in to have a mani/pedi and to have their nails ‘polished’. I told her that is good for them, that is not me at all. In addition, she reported that they offered THERAPEUTIC massages, not SENSUOUS! And that some guys also came there every so often to have their pubic hair trimmed or shaved! Interesting I thought. I assume that the ‘barber’ in such a case is female as I would not want any male doing his thing in my pubic area. But, then again, I don’t do anything with the adornment of my family jewels. I just leave it. The massage sounds like it could be fun though. Maybe I will give that a check one day.

February 27th, 2003 at 12:28 pm LOL… interesting things you can have done, I did not realize the extent of the services available to men! Massage is awesome, also manicure and pedicure really feel good, especially a pedicure. I only went for one once, but it was much more than I expected in the way of what it did for me!
February 27th, 2003 at 5:32 pm “I assume that the ‘barber’ in such a case is female as I would not want any male doing his thing in my pubic area.” That makes it sound like you think of that as being sexual. How about when a doctor must touch the anus of another man? Is that sexual to you too? Because it’s the same thing really - grooming of a different kind, perhaps, but still body maintenance.
February 27th, 2003 at 7:50 pm WELL SAID CHLOE!
February 27th, 2003 at 7:58 pm You know, I dread the day when I have to have my butt examined by a doctor…
February 27th, 2003 at 9:30 pm Chloe, I really do not think of it as being sexual, but, I would prefer a female attendant, that’s all. Anyhow, were I into shaving of pubic hair, I would just do it myself. Having the rectum examined is by no means the same thing to me, and it is not something to look forward to regardless of the gender of the examiner. Certainly, if I had particular medical problems I would prefer a male doctor eg. a Urologist. I know many women who would never see a male O&G doctor for the same reason if they had the choice. We all have preferences/likes/dislikes.
Mad Bull, indeed a rectal examination is by no means pleasant, I have had one in the past. I also know many women who dislike having digital vaginal examinations. It is such a private area of the anatomy.
Strange the things that people can select out of a post to comment on.
February 27th, 2003 at 9:54 pm By the way, women also get the rectal exams. Did you know?
February 28th, 2003 at 12:34 am I have a male Gyne and I also have worked with him as I was working for many years in the same hospital (it really is not a big city I live in) any way, I would care not the sex of the physician or the “barber” if I were to have any trimming or what have you in the area of the “privates”… just so long as they dressed and behaved in a professional manner. BTW… the maseusse I had when I had my once ever massage was a woman, I was apprehensive about having a male do it - but now if I’d have another I’d have either sex, as long as they were a decent masseuse, I don’t see that it matters. I practiced as an RN for years in the hospital taking care of male patients as well as female, the sex doesn’t matter, the professionalism of the approach is what matters.
February 28th, 2003 at 7:15 am True what you have said Desiree, it is the professional manner in which you act that really matters.
March 1st, 2003 at 12:32 am So, in the end you may go and get a little hair maintenance if the professional approach exists? Post a pic? —- Kidding!!
