Gas price up and away!

Last night on the way to Mad Bull, I had to get gas as my tank was nearly empty. So, I pulled into the station and told the guy to, “Fill it up with 90″. He put the pump into the tank and I sat and watched the pump climb through the hundreds eventually stopping at 1,170 dollars!!!! Bomboclaat! That was what I said to the guy. He laughed and said, “Bwoy Doc. Almost everybody whose tank me fill today cuss some serious claat when dem see the bill. The war screw all o we to rass!” I have to agree with him. Previously, I could fill up for just about 1,000 dollars, but with tension building in the Gulf, I guess petroleum products have become liquid gold. How is the gas price in your corner of the world? My family in Florida was complaining when I had passed through weekend before last. Need I say more??

I still haven’t had much time to post, but tomorrow is Ash Wednesday, a Public holiday here. I have escaped being on call, so suppem can gwaan. Cool nuh.

Gas is shockingly high everywhere I think… I pay $70 cdn for a tank of gas (for my larger vehicle - Expedition), it seems horrible!

Prices increasing all around big bro!!! Times are getting worse and worse. Enjoy your Ash Wednesday holiday! No holiday here in the US What can I tell you? Are you giving up anything for Lent? I’m not!

Yes Desiree, the cost of gas and everything else is going to go up once war gets underway. However, the actual anticipation of it results in panic and forces the prices up even more. We have our own problem locally as well because our dollar is losing value rapidly, hence two factors are screwing us!

Well Mad Bull, you can’t say you haven’t been warned, yes my yute we are paying plenty more!

Rufie, I have never been into the ‘giving up’ of anything for Lent. I am adopting the same approach as you my little sis.

How much is that in US dollars? Better get a bicycle. Maybe we need to bring back horsedrawn carriages.
