Idle chat really……..

Have you ever noticed (or is it just me) that food left in the refrigerator overnight, seems to taste even better than when it was eaten the first time? Well, I just had some leftover Chinese food for dinner. I bought it for dinner for my Father and I yesterday. Now, it tasted good then, but it seemed to me to be even better today. Maybe the flavours get to ‘marinade’ it, who knows? Anyway, like I said before, it was good!

Having filled my belly, I have another question to ask? When last have you had a day off during the week? Well, I had one today. It was impromptu (if that is how it is spelled) really. I must say, however, it was good not going in to the hospital today.

In my travels on the streets of city Kingston earlier, what I came across in three different places, was young men smoking ganja quite openly. Now, those of you who have been regular visitors to this blog will know that even though the stuff is illegal here, it is readily available and quite openly smoked. When I go to the National Stadium, to watch football (soccer) with Mad Bull, it is the norm to be inhaling the fumes as many around us smoke it.

BTW, we should have gone to the stadium last night, as the Reggae Boyz beat Haiti THREE goals to NIL in the match they played yesterday!! You can read more about it here if you wish. Happily they have qualified for the Gold Cup. I hope to see more good things from them in the not too distant future.

Anyhow, we just had a wonderful evening shower of rain which has cooled the place down nicely. And, lest I start to bore any of you with such a trivial post, let me go hold a fresh, as my day off is not yet over, and I don’t have the privilige tomorrow. Lata bredrens!

First my own original quote for the day - If ganja grew on trees, how many tree huggers would there be? The other thing, enjoyed your column THE BOSS..MALE OR FEMALE, in fact it turned out to be the stimulation for my post tomorrow. Personally, as a woman, I prefer working for a man because of their loyalty. When something is so disastrous it goes to the CEO, a man boss will back you up everytime - even when it might affect his own reputation.

LMAO… Roberta just made me laugh! I would love an evening shower such as you had Dr. D… alas I face melting snow and ice on the streets, but out I go to take the doggies!

Doc your blog was like the day we are having here today. Cool breeze, a little rain to tickle the imagination, and soft beautiful sunshine that would make a man want to love the whole world. Sometimes its talking about the simple things in your day that does the trick to inspire some of us. I love overnight food myself, especially red peas soup with a touch of salted pork in it. Regarding that football match, I think that Carl Brown and his boys put up a fair performance, though he may yet get the boot based on the captain’s comments after the match against Haiti. Guess I may soon be hauling my sorry self out to the matches.
