Digicams are cool!

I have come to realize that my digital camera is very much a part of me. I take it just about everywhere. It is an Olympus C700 with 10X zoom. The Smart Media card I have in it has 64MB of space, so it stores about 128 pictures. I have taken some good photos with it, and there is lots that the camera can do, but who the hell really wants to sit down and read through the damn CD that comes with it? What I love about them is that they have made the photo studio almost obsolete. No need to drop off for processing. Take your photo, download from the camera to the computer, and print on high grade photographic printer paper.
Today, I passed by the home of one of my Mother’s friends. She was showing me some of the exquisite orchids that she has in bloom at present. I could not resist. The picture above is just one of them taken today. I am going to post one per day during the rest of this week. Hope you enjoyed this one, I think it is beautiful.

April 29th, 2003 at 3:22 am Love the photo and look forward to this week for a new view!!!! Aren’t digital photo’s great, I actually have to make it an effort to take a “regular camera” with me, but always wind up using our digital. No wonder my poor “betty lou” as I’ve named my computer, as well as “tempermental bitch”, runs so slow most the time we have way too many photo’s we never share!!!

April 29th, 2003 at 9:22 am It is a great photo! You are a fab photographer. It always gets me how incredible nature is. And to think that there are a kabillion people who see things like that everyday and never ever notice. Thanks for pointing out how beautiful the simple things are. It was just what I needed today.
April 29th, 2003 at 10:17 am Great picture and nice site too. Digicams are great. I too travel everywhere with mine although it’s now, at 18 months old, almost antiquaited.
April 29th, 2003 at 10:21 am Digicams are great. I have one, and a nice (yet bulky) 35mm SLR. I’ve found with digital you’re not “afraid” to shoot away. With film sometimes I was conservative about releasing the shutter. But sometimes you’ve got to go through a lot of frames to get something nice. Keep showing us pics from your world!
April 29th, 2003 at 11:14 am I’m still waiting to get a digicam. Don’t even have a regular camera.
