Deh bout……
Well, this is a little update to let you all know I’m alive, kickin and having a rass of a time.
Arrived here in Balto. on Wednesday night in rain….reminded me very much of England. Air Jamaica was actually ON TIME!!
Immigration and Customs were very pleasant….no hasssle whatsoever.
Had to wait about 10 minutes before I saw Marc Antony….my bro.-in-law grinning away. We greeted each other. So, I asked him, Where is Rufie?” He replies, “Oh, she’s coming.”
Shortly after, I see Rufie, and her face is set! “Hello Rufie, why do you look like that?” She does not respond except that she hugs me. Then Marc Antony says, “Oh, we had a little tiff!” Rufie only looks on with that look which says, “I won’t even bother.” Anyhow, we leave the airport and she is not speaking much to Marc Antony. Anyway, by the time we get home, that has resolved, and if you actually hear what the tiff was about, this would be your expression….
Thursday, the rainy weather continued. We went to a nice restaurant where I pigged out on seafood. Yes, I do love good food, and there has been lots of that. Actually, I have really been eating too much, but what the hell, I don’t go on leave often.
Yesterday, as it was July 4th, we went and took advantage of some of the sales. Got some stuff.
I cooked yesterday….did my shrimp pasta which was enjoyed by all including myself. We were too tired to go down by the Balto. harbour to watch the fireworks last night, so since we could easily see them from home, we watched them through the apartment window. I took a few photos which will get posted when I return to Jamdown.
Today we are going to Marc Antony’s Mother’s house. She and her husband are supposed to take us out to dinner tonight in D.C.
Tomorrow afternoon, I step into an aircarft again, to jet south to Ft. Lauderdale for the next phase of this trip. Ft. Lauderdale is my stomping ground….I’m sort of like a ‘citizen’ (sans documents)…illegal if you like. So, that’s about it from me for now. Have to flash still, need to go through the bathroom routine before we hit the road. Irie vibes.
P.S. Hail up Mad Bull.
