Random BS…..
Yes bredrens and sistrens….I am still here ‘holding a borrows’ off of (borrowing) Dr. Spanish’s Dell. Not such a bad thing that he is in is foreign for an extended period…and trust me, I love the keyboard of his computer, one of those soft touch ones. Who knows, I may just consider an upgrade of mine once it is firing on all cylinders again.
Just finished checking through my e-mail which I am happy to report were mostly blog comments. The absence of my computer from home has made me realise just how dependent on a computer I have become. Trust me, before a year and a half ago, I doubt that I would ever have missed a gadget so much, as I am really not a gadget type of guy. As a single man, many meals are now eaten while sitting in front of my screen. That perhaps is not the best thing to do as I may well screw the keyboard with food one day…but I guess that’s life. Having to hold a borrows at a friend’s home is fine and dandy, but I really don’t like to inconvenience people. Furthermore, I have a standard attire for computer time at home….boxers. Naturally, I can’t exactly spread out in boxers when I am at other people’s yard…..it may not be greeted with a smile at all. Anyway, enough about my computer woes. I am still managing to keep in touch even if sporadically.
What else a gwaan? Well, I can’t really update you adequately as I think I had mentioned that my TV was also screwed by the lightening last week. Anyway, it is also in the repair shop and I have heard that I may get it back tomorrow. Nevertheless, I really don’t watch TV all that much, when I do it is really a lot of Discovery Channel, National Geopgraphic Channel, HBO…especially for Boxing, and the occasional porn flick too. Wait! You are shocked to hear that the well mannered Doc watches porn?! Yeah man…who doesn’t?
So, on account of being technologically isolated from the world (at least at home) temporarily, I have been reaching into the shower a bit earlier than usual and hence gettting to work a little earlier also. Maybe I should try to keep it up when the Dell is back to normal. We shall see.
Yesterday, the two Interns that we had working on our service for the past three months came to the end of their time with us. They are both quite bright young doctors and we will miss them. Can you believe that they actually invited us out to dinner at Dragon City for excellent Chinese food last night? I enjoyed the food immensely. I have never had any Intern come up with such a nice gesture before. I actually felt obligated to get them two tokens, so I bought each one a bath gel from Bath and Body Works. They were as grateful as I was for the dinner.
Being the only male dining with four women, I played the role of the garbage pan and had to clean up all the food that was not eaten by the girls. Trust me, I hate to see good food waste…..and my belly is beginning to tell the story!
In addition to that, I was the only one who indulged in alcoholic drinks… (now don’t tell me that you were surprised there also)…well one rum that was more like two to be exact.
On account of the excessive eating, last night my contribution to the world’s natural gas supply ripped forth profusely, and I still felt like a cousin to a mampie (a rather obese type of Jamaican woman that usually wears tight fitting clothing that shows up all the undesirable folds) this morning. Happily, that bloated feeling passed during the course of the day.
This morning, two new Interns greeted us. One of whom look wikid nuh rass!
She will certainly add to the dull decor of the work environment. There is only one drawback, she kinda pregnant still!
I guess a rude bwoy first me, eh?
On that note, if you have managed to read this far without leaving let me say that you clearly are very patient and must have surmised by now that nutten really a gwaan for me to post about. So, before you all tell me that you don’t want me to continue blogging when my compi is back to square one. Let me say, I man gone. Easy nuh!
October 1st, 2003 at 10:10 pm It did entertaining, man, nuh worry u-self.
October 1st, 2003 at 10:56 pm Whaddya mean “quit”? Bah..
October 2nd, 2003 at 10:33 am …nice to have you (almost) back - although I can do *without* the vision of you in your boxers :^)…
October 2nd, 2003 at 7:36 pm Damn you must get that computer up and running so I can get my “doctor boxer” fix
October 2nd, 2003 at 9:24 pm You can tell Jamie is into boxers……wait, that didn’t sound good! lol How nice that the interns treated you to a farewell dinner. They must have enjoyed this rotation. My dermatologist is a beautiful woman. I’d guess she has an Irish or English heritage. She has very fair skin and beautiful coppery strawberry blonde hair. I can’t imagine her in boxers…..
October 9th, 2003 at 3:19 am I get to missing some of our interns, too. Some are just amazing doctors and I have to tell myself that the world will be a much better place with them in it….even if they aren’t going to be in my little part of it. Now, what was this about boxers?
