Two brides, one groom….

I wasn’t going to post anything tonight…as nobody thought of dropping a comment on my previous post. But is alright…..see me come back wid nuff energy. Resilient iyah!

Ladies…how would you like to have your sister and yourself get married to the same man in a simultaneous wedding?? Sounds unusual, doesn’t it? Read about the planned nuptial ceremony here. I guess the groom to be deserves some respect, I doubt that I would be taking both sisters on as brides. Hey a thought just crossed my mind…the double honeymoon!! (I am just being bad!)

Rude bwoys…what would you do if you asked a man for his daughter’s hand in marriage and he informed you that you would have to take her sister who is disabled to the altar as well??

On a different note, how many of you have ever tried a chocolate bar by a Belgian company called Lindt? Lots of nuts in it too. Mmmmm!!! A colleague at work told us that her Mother was coming home from England for a visit, so she asked if we wanted anything…this is what I requested, and she brought one of these huge bars. I used to buy them when I was in the UK. So, after some nice curry chicken, calaloo and rice for dinner, I am having the delectable dessert! Night all.

After posting this I see that Mad Bull was decent enuff to drop a comment inna de box on the previous entry. Respec my yute! You can hold a rum on de morrows.

I always feel sorry for myself when I don’t get comments on an entry, too. Bruises my big ole ego! -) Your entry about frequency of sex got me thinking about something, though… and I think I’ll ask the question on my blog. Then you’ll even get a TRACKBACK! (oooooooooh)
  3. Amy Says:
Well… you would have had a Trackback if you had that feature turned on, anyway.

Hi… that link to the article in question is not working right now. Anyhow… I would not marry the same man as my sis… no matter what. I guess I am too demanding, wanting a man all my own. I watched a documentary show a couple nights ago about polygamy… ugh, I really don’t get it… it only really benefits the man, they get all these wives, take on wives that are merely teens and have sex all the time. They have all them babies and seem to believe taht the more offspring they have the more like a god they’ll be? I looked at the one man that was interviewed the most and thought ‘you Scum!’ Polygamy is so very unnatural.

Desiree, thanks for pointing out that the link wasn’t up and running, it is fixed now…a matter of a : that was left out in error! I guess I was tired. Usually I check all links I make after posting. I don’t necessarily agree with you that polygamy is unnatural, you may feel it is, simply because of the society that you were raised in. If you were from he Middle East you may not think so. And I can definitely say that even though we don’t advocate polygamy here in the Caribbean there are many men (in particular) and some women as well that do live this type of lifestyle. I see that my plea for comments has borne fruit!

I agree with both Dr. D and Desiree - it is freaking weird, but if you grew up in a culture where it was the norm, it wouldn’t be weird. I’ve watched many documentaries about it in the US, regarding the illegal practice of it in Utah. My biggest issue with it is that the men marry such YOUNG girls. A 40 year old man should not be marrying a 13 year old no matter what if she’s his only wife or the fourth. I’ve also heard of several cases where the man marries related women (two sisters, a mom and daughter - to my knowledge the daughter wasn’t his!). Things like that are just extra weird in my opinion. Even if polygamy is a common part of a culture, some things should just not be done.
  7. Dr. D. Says:
Jenniy, a thirteen year old girl should not be marrying any man of any age in any culture IMHO. She is still a child.

Women are multi-orgasmic (they can have consecuetive orgasms) so it makes much more sense for women to have mulitple husbands! Biology rule man!
  9. Dr. D. Says:
Hey Michelle, I must let you have a read of a book I bought in the UK when I was there called the Multi Orgasmic Man! We can do that too!
  10. Desiree Says:
Hmmm… yes, we are multi-orgasmic. As much as I’d want it some of the time (having a spare man) I don’t think hubby’d go for it. But you do have a point Dr. D… we females certainly can be mulit-orgasmic!
  11. Michelle Says:
Oh I know you can do it Dr. D. My husband can or I wouldn’t be married to him!
