Big up Jamdown!

I say that with great pleasure after reading this article which indicates that we are the Caribbean island of the year! So, I have posted a picture from our country. I took this shot from the window of an Air Jamaica flight after we departed from Montego Bay en route to Curacao, where I was intransit for a few hours before hopping over to Aruba…… a mere twenty minutes away by air. It was a bit of a cloudy afternoon, hence the picture is a bit dull, but I still think it is post worthy. This shows a section of the north coast of our island with part of the ‘Cockpit country” which are a series of rolling hills and valleys in the western end of our island that is made of limestone. So, when are you coming to discover our country??? I can imagine that those of you far north are beginning to feel the wrath of winter and it is sure to get colder. So, come soak up some sun nuh….after all, it is summer 24/7 here and now the nights are cool. I say it again, Big Up Jamdown. (Yeah, yeah, I know full well that all is not perfect here….but you can still have a irie time down yah!)

Ok, I admit I don’t have much to say tonight. So, with those words, I man a flash!

Interesting comment above… Anyway, Doc, I like the picture. Its a pity that the part with the ground was so indistinct. I wish I had taken my camera with me the last time I went to Cayman, because it was a spectacular day and I’d have been able to get a fantastically clear shot like that…

I too have some misunderstanding of Miss Understood’s comment above….. could you explain why you have the weeping smiley up there? Is it that you would like to come to Jamdown and doubt that you can? Please expound. Yes Mad Bull, it is a pity that the detail of the beautiful ground is not as clear as it could be, but it was cloudy and we were ascending, so even with the 10X zoom on my camera it was not as nice as I would like. There were little clearings where there were no clouds, but the light was still blanketed out by larger clouds above. Ahhh the beauty of our country. BTW Mad Bull, my camera always goes with me when I travel! Its as important as packing underwear!

Sorry old bean, if I end up anywhere near your end of the woods, it’ll be Bermuda, I’m afraid. Because it’s like England but with sunlight, you see? If I do end up there, I shal pop over to visit though…

Well Kelvin, I’ve never been to Bermuda and I don’t know a lot of folks from there….however, if you do get there I hope you enjoy it. (England with sunshine??? Well, I suppose I did get a little of that in August-September….nights still on the chilly side though!)

I’m jealous, and I’m putting in word to Mother Nature to send some of our snow down south

Mother Nature is not hearing you Jenniy!

Sorry, I was really cold and hating it. Mad Bull’s reference to my “comment” had me in stitches for a while. Noooo, I am not crazy. That weeping smiley seemed appropriate at the time.
