Short one before work……
Well, it seems hits and comments are down this week….perhaps it has to do with the fact that a lot of my readers in the US are preparing for Turkey day tomorrow. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. What did you say??? My hits aren’t down as a result of Thanksgiving??? It is because nobody really wants to check the site….I’m boring??
Well, guess what? I remain undaunted….I continue with my boring posts.
Reading through the Gleaner this morning, I see that Bruce Golding has expressed the desire to succeed Mr. Seaga as leader of the JLP. The big question is, when the hell will Eddie give up the post? Seems that they too are unsure. He needs to do so now IMHO, otherwise he will screw up their chances of victory in the next election, similarly to what happened a year or so ago. It seems, however, that they realise that they need to get their act together if any good sense is to prevail. Trust me, if the present government wins the next election, I feel the red flag for immediate departure from this land that I love will have been raised!
(And please don’t think that I feel the opposition is the answer to our problems. Just perhaps, the lesser of the two evils.)
To end, I found this on Yahoo’s Oddly Enough….would you like to get a voucher for a burger from your company as a bonus? Man, things must really be not too good in the financial sector at Air Canada! I guess it is not only us in the “Third World” that are feeling the economic pinch. Have a irie day at work.
November 26th, 2003 at 11:25 am Doesn’t sound like my first pick as a bonus, but then again working for the US government ANY sort of bonus is onheard of and a free burger may not be too bad after all!
November 26th, 2003 at 2:14 pm Down doesn’t mean unread Dr.D. Some of us are just so at a loss for words. I actually find the posts from yourself and MB quite interesting. I’ve had the horrid task of working with some aspects of both governments and believe me I’ve stop trying to figure out which is worst.
November 26th, 2003 at 4:45 pm Jenniy, no such thing as a bonus where I work either….if they offered a free burger one day, I suppose I’d have it for lunch. Scratchie, what a gwaan rudes?? Nice to know you still a read here and at MB also. Yes, I know that sometimes the posts don’t evoke a response, but let’s say I thrive on commentary! (Leaving a comment also makes me realize seh you did deh bout!) Anyway, keep on visiting. As for the political parties………
November 26th, 2003 at 7:11 pm …I’ve been and read :^)…at the moment I am seem to be in permanent ‘hurry-up’ mode and never have enough time to comment - sorry :^(…must try harder I suppose :^)…hmmmmmmmmmmm, free burgers :^)…
November 26th, 2003 at 8:17 pm So, which part you a go run to if the artaclaps lick wi? Whither goest thou?

November 26th, 2003 at 9:16 pm BTW, a de first time I have ever seen ‘artaclaps’ spelled out.
November 27th, 2003 at 12:07 am Yikes D! But if you leave, where will you go? Any American with sense is going to leave the US when Bush wins again, right-thinking Brits are going to pick up and leave Blighty if Blair doesn’t sort himself out, and you’re going to leave your island! Where are we all going to live?
November 27th, 2003 at 6:49 am Kelvin…if it really gets that bad we might all just need to try for Heaven!
