Tower Of Babel

Yes bredrens, it is Monday again to rass! The day that means back to the grindstone of work after the weekend. The sound of the hum of cars in the distance while I sit here is testimony to that. People hurrying to get their offspring to school trying to beat the morning traffic. So different to yesterday. I just love the relatively slower and more casual pace of weekends. Anyhow, we don’t have another ’till five days hence. I wonder what this work week will bring?

Mine started with the phone ringing at minutes to seven this morning….luckily, I had the cordless sitting on top of the toilet tank behind me. Yes, I was in the middle of a crap and reading the newspaper….a moment that one does not really wish to be disturbed. “Hello”, I answer, still sounding as if I am in bed…..turns out it was the wrong number! I hang up and continue with the shyte. The blood cleat phone rings again, interrupting the morning quiet of the house. I answer again, sounding even more pissed……only to hear the pleasant sound of my boss apologizing for calling so early. Unfortunately, she has two meetings to attend this morning, so I must go ahead with the Ward round until she can join us. Ok.

Guess you can surmise seh me nuh inna de work mood dis mawnin at all…..anyway, it will pass.

Last nite, I went to check my cousin Sprigadee. Rass bwoy, she has a dog there that likes nobody but the people who live in her house. He is one blood thirsty mofo…. that beast once came at me and was actually following me into the car so that he could extract his pound of flesh! So, whenever I’m going up there, I call ahead to tell them to lock up or tame the animal!

Chatted with her and her Mom for a couple hours. Nuff of our family members have friggrey a deal wid…. I have helped those that I can, but eventually you get to a point where you yourself don’t have much more to offer. Life does have its ups and downs people….you jus haffi work wid it and try to clean up the crap when it comes along.

Nevertheless, as I have managed to phuck up your Monday morning high, let me see if I can do another post to make up for this entry. Try have a good day at work, seen?
