So I could say I was only off my 1 week you were off by over 5.9 billion. We can make excuse all we want and point the fingers but we must take responsibilty for our actions. None of us live in a bubble we are dependent on each other. Put it this way, what if this was your mother, sister or daughter? Dr D you are in the social services, tell them the awful stats regarding abuse in our country. It is gut wreching and disgusting the percentage of women that are abused in JA. Rita just came out regading Bob. Dr D as I said before there is no animosity towards you. Yes I do still read you blog and I still enjoy it but if you saw Mad Bull do wrong as a friend would you not correct him. I remember as a child a woman getting beating every friday by her Man until one day he killed her. Everyone came out how wrong it was and this and that. Too late. April 3rd, 2004 at 10:49 pm Still hope you are the only one of 6 BILLION!!! As a woman I am only too aware of the abuse that goes on towards women in our societies. But I’d have to say that quite often (most likely like the woman in the pic)some women put themselves in the position to be photographed like this. This is how they make their money. Whereas, I would hope that my daughter would never have to or wish to resort to this method of earning some money, I cannot truly say that I feel abused or somehow made to feel inferior or degraded because some women chose or need to have pictures taken of themselves with little or nothing on so that they can pay their bills, or even if they just do it for the fun of it. As to the physical and mental abuse. That is deplorable. It does not only happen in Jamaica and it happens in all stratas of life. It is definitely a problem that we should all be aware of and all try to change in our own way. However, unlike you 1of6billion, I chose not to be judgemental of others just because they do things a little differently than I would. I definitely do not feel that I have the right or the need to “correct” Dr. D or MadBull, both of whom I know extremely well. Both are well adjusted contributing adults. If I do not like the content of their sites, I just would not read it that day. It is after all their site, and they can put whatever they want on it as long as it is not breaking the law. I may be wrong. But the impression that i have gotten from reading blog sites is that it is mostly in fun….you do remember that word don’t you 6billion? You don’t find it fun. That’s okay, you are entitled to your own opinion just like the rest of us are.

Let me ask a question… What exactly is the relationship between nude pictures of women and sexual abuse? For instance, I understand that there are some wierd individuals out there perusing porn, but for every one of those pervs, there are probably 100’s of normal, fairly well adjusted dudes taking a peek too. You seem to me to be suggesting that there is a correlation between looking at porn and abusing women, and I am sorry, but I just don’t see it. Where do you get your figures from? If you have access to a scientific, documented study on the subject by well recognised scientists, I’d like to see it. If not, well, it seems to me like just so much hot air, know what I mean?
