Tower Of Babel

Well, hail up all crew. If any of you been visiting recently and wondering where the posts are, is not cause me diss oono, but remember seh me deh pon holiday.

Well, the Air Ja flight on Saturday was pretty good. A bit bumpy as the weather was cloudy for about half the flight. But, we left on time and actually arrived ahead of schedule by fifteen minutes in Ft. Lauderdale. As usual, good to link up with family and the cohort of friends I have living here. I have been eating like I am expecting some famine or adverse winter weather to come. Oh, shrimp, lobster, fish. It is so hard to say no when it tastes so good. Diet will be enforced when I return.

Not much time to labrish. A rahtid rain buss yesterday, nuff thunder and lightening….coulda hardly see fe drive home. Still a rain a bit today. Forecast is for more rain due to some system in the area…so look like the Labour day weekend might get weh de duck get weatherwise. Anyway, I man a flash dis mawnin, have to go hold a food and then work up a fresh. I will check een from time to time while away. So, do pass by, seen. TTYL. HOLIDAAYYY!!!!! CELEBRATE!!! Yeah, it’s Ladies weekend…..Oh what a weekend!

This evening I will be leaving my Kidlets at home in the capable hands of Popsy to go on my annual ladies weekend. Do I look happy and excited…. Yeah.

Ladies, those of you out there who have never done this…It is a must, whether you are single, married or a mother…it is a MUST!!! It is just a time to get away, in the company of our girlfriends and relax and have a great time.

Well, not having much to chat about this morning I decided to post yet another picture from my previous travels. I hope I haven’t put this one up before, if I have jus low me, arite?

This was taken in Grenada, and as Yamfoot used to live there I am sure she knows the place. This is a section of the crater lake called the Grand Etang. A pretty scenic place. It was quite cool up there, rain having just fallen and there was even fog around.

Overall, I found Grenada to be a pretty lush place, it reminded me of Portland. I hope if any of you have been to any place (even in your own country) that is picture perfect that you have been working the cameras and will post pictures on your sites. They do make a welcome change and help to cut down on the typing. I man a flash now, zeen?

Well, a irie morn to all who may pass dis way. I’m a bit late but whatever….Not much by way of an earth shattering post to share but I suppose writing something is better than nothing at all.

Now all of you know that miself and Mad Bull a bredrin and bredrin (are good friends). And in many cases, we tend to become friends with people with whom we share some similarities. Yeah, my yute and I do have a lot in common and I won’t bother to bore you with these details. We also share a lot of differences as well, particularly where certain types of opinions are concerned. Well, one thing we share in common is that we both are not fond of lizards. I posted my stance with reptiles not too far back when I showed you all a picture of a rass of an iguana that has taken up residence in a tree in my cousin’s backyard in Florida.

Yesterday, Mad Bull’s post told the story of a recent encounter he had with a Caymanian posse of lizards. They sound like they are quite resilient to me.

Now, apart from lizards, we both also have a serious dislike for the critters called rats. I know that the Bull had done a very good post long time ago about these beasts and how they were creating havoc in New Kingston. Well, I read this morning that dem a tek over again to rass! In fact, they have become such a plague that they have caused one fast food establishment to close its doors! Now, what next? You a do business to rahtid…. you providing work for people inna you establishment, and, you haffi shet you door cause RAT a tek over you place!?? Some serious cause fe cuss two claat in my opinion.

Anyway, I hope that something will be done to exterminate the place, as I’ve seen these mofos before while sipping a rum at the Hilton’s Pool bar in the past. Trus me, they are puppy sized….and they have attitude! Fraid is a word that they know not!

That’s about it from me. Oh, I mentioned that Rufie (my sister) had a birthday yesterday. Well, it seems that after an almost four year wait, she received a nice birthday gift from Uncle Sam…..she had an interview with US Immigration yesterday and they gave her the Green Card at last! The thumbsup is not so much for the card per se…it is saluting the fact that she can now travel as she wishes. So, I know that I will be seeing her here, at home in the not too distant future!

Well, today being May 18th, you are all wecome to join me in wishing my little sister Rufie Happy Birthday!! In previous times, I would direct you to the Tower as she used to post there. However, sad as it may be, that site seems to attract authors who are not true blue bloggers. They come out with a bang and then somehow disappear into the horizon. I won’t call any names, they know who they are. Thanks to Ciya, she has managed to keep the site from becoming dormant. Nevertheless, I hope Rufie has a nice day and we will chat later.

So, you see the title here and wonder to yourself…”A wha him a come wid now?!” Well, actually, today is my last day of being on call for the month of May! Let’s hope it is not too busy as me jus nuh inna de mood. I’m getting prepared to go on leave when I drive out of the hospital on Friday evening. Anyway.

Not too much to share this morn. Oh, I have something for the Miss Cleo’s out there to interpret. I had a little dream last nite, which I have been trying to analyze but have come up with no half decent explanation for.

Here it goes….I’m in a situation where I was required to get nekkid. (No, it wasn’t me and some phat gyal getting down to business sadly…. ). Actually, I really don’t remember seeing anyone else in the dream. It was just me solo, in mi birthday suit, in a very large room that was brightly lit. Then, I hear a voice telling me to put my clothes back on, which I do. But, when I’m finished dressing, I’m frantically searching for my shoes and cannot find them. So, there I am asking, “Where are my shoes? Where are my shoes. Me waan mi shoes back!” And then I wake up saying the same thing! It sort of has me puzzled, but then again, probably I just ate too much and it really doesn’t mean one fart! So, to start the week off with a little fun, I’m putting it out to you all to interpret. Mad Bull…you nuh bodda…I can predict seh is some slackness you coming wid….but anyway, I man will low you! So, let me hear what y’all tink nuh. It might make for some interesting reading when I get home from work lata. Have a irie day, you hear?
