Tower Of Babel

What a gwaan? Well, jus got back from walking and a eat a food still. Though it is leftovers that I had cooked on Saturday, it taste good. Oh, you want to know is wah? Fillet of snapper that was seasoned with a little soya and oyster sauce, onion, garlic, scotch bonnett pepper, salt and black pepper to taste. That was stir fried with escallion and ginger in sesame seed oil with broccoli, mushrooms, snow peas, carrots and pak choi. That’s dinner. (Note the absence of carbs Yammie! ) So, belly feel arite still.

Now, I did not get around to surfing the Gleaner this morning on account of having overslept last night….I woke up at 7 AM this morning…which is late for me. I notice that I sleep well sound when I walk, so there is another reason why I should keep at it. Anyhow, I cannot say that what I read in the Gleaner today made me happy at all.

It seems that the drug lords are up to dem fukry (can they ever be totally stopped?) again. You might remember that recently I had mentioned that our lawmen had been making some dents in the drug trade by arresting some alleged drug kingpins. I was happy to learn of this as the more of them that we can weed out of society and put away for good, the better if you ask me. Well, hear wah….apparently dem naw have none o dat shyte! De dutty cockroach dem nuh a drop threats now…. on the lives of some of our politicians! So, basically what dem a seh is dem above de law! A dem rule to rass, and everbody else mus bow to dem bloodcleat! No bredrens…it caan go so. If necessary we the people and the security forces must declare an all out war to purge them from the bowels of society into a bottomless cespool! Away with drugs and their pushers. Plenty of Jamaica’s worries is because of dem! Done wid dat.

But then again, on a similar note, that of crime….one would have thought that God’s house was a haven. Would you ever feel that you would become a victim of crime while attending church? No sah….nuh safe place dat? Apparently I am naive, however. Read this and see if you are just as alarmed as I was! Murdered in church during a service!? No iyah. We have stooped to a new level of low. I say he should be hanged. Or, if they don’t wish to hang him, gimme de gun mek me riddle him bloodcleat body wid shot till him stop move!But then the human rights activists a go beg for leniency. WHY!? When him was a buss shot unda de woman claat, him did have any rahtid mercy? Dem people jus mek man feel fe vomit and cuss!

Not only did the news mek me sell de fabric today….but, you know, I think if I did have a ‘nine, the first man that I would duss out is a minibus driver.

Today, driving through lunchtime traffic in Liguanea, the driver of a ‘Coaster’ nuh run me, a Prado and two odda cyar off de road sah. I only saw when he pulled up beside me and if I did not mount the sidewalk, the trusty Integra would be nursing some serious wounds I tell you! I have an excellent description for dah driver deh…(stolen from mi cousin Sprigadee’s hubby, he is a lawyer but by no means afraid to sell claat as a sideline still)…..that mini van driver is best described as a ‘DRAGGED UP BATTYHOLE!!’ I love it.

Anyway, I hope you all don’t feel I’m in a bad mood. Just a concerned citizen of this, my island home. Do your part to try mek it a better place. Enjoy your night. Later.
