A New Year
Well… am I finally here??? It is two days later than I anticipated, but better late than never.
In an attempt to further my personal growth on this big blue marble, I have decided to do a blog for one year (at least)! Being at a total loss regarding the whole technology thing, bear with me - not so many bells and whistles (hey - maybe I will eventually get to be as good as MB!!)
Two days ago was yet another anniversary of my birth…and a fine day was had by all in the kingdom. For a full account you have to read….
From the adjoining land of the Hummingbird arrived Hija, smallie (6) and shortie (3), for the royal bashment. The girls were going to continue to paint the town red, following on from Yammie and my adventures at Baku - nuff “rub-a-dub” had us thundah clapping, rowing boats, and Scoobie Doo ‘ing wid de best of dem!! (We did really bashy!)
So, in reverence to the creator, we went to the Wildlife reserve - shortie and smallie were determined to see some monkeys - the one in my back yard had moved on to the next mango orchard. The reserve was interesting - 350+ land tortoises, 37 deer, some things that looked like the product of deer and rabbits did some strange deeds… wallaby perhaps??? The tortoises were freaky though - totally oblivious to people, and everyone rushing around - and I mean rushing!!!! If you ever try to overtake a tortoise in a hurry on a path as wide as the tortoise, you are going to get your heels clipped!! (and hopefully not nipped!!) Those guys are not as slow as folk legend would say! And why were they ‘pelting’ down de road??? Not sure - but the whole experience was surreal - imagine being in an acre of rocks about 15 inches long, and the rocks are wizzing around in various directions - I ended up carrying shortie most of the time, and I was hoping for someone to pick me up when it started getting crowded… creepy..
So then it was a round the Kingdom tour - got some anthuriums from a friend’s farm, then to the beach for a quick dip before dinner.
Dinner was wonderful - I was a special guest of the Chef at the posh hotel… the meal was wonderful, and smallie and shortie were on their best behaviour. Shortie sent back her soup - she called the chef and issued a special request … ham and corwn - the chef looked alarmed.. no corn in the kitchen - he would see what he could do. Shortie gracefully ate the petit pois presented, and rewarded the chef with a thumbs up at the end of the course. The girls napped briefly through our two extra courses, and made sure to pop back up for dessert (the best part!).
The chef sat and ate dessert with us - a little champangne washed the whole thing down satisfactorily. A nice time was had by all….

Now, you say you’ll be blogging for a year, I put it to you, that if you do stick to it for a year, and the vibes get ‘bashy’ you are going to have a hard time parting with it. I can say that mine has become a part of me though it was something that the Bull coerced me into. I now enjoy the interaction tremendously. Glad that you enjoyed the anniversary of your birth (I’ll be a gentleman and not ask what number…after all, it really isn’t of great importance.) You sure that creature that you think looks like a cross between a rabbit and a deer is not a capybara? Did it look like a humongous rodent? I will do my part to get some traffic here for ya! Keep posting.
