Yowah yow!

OK, for my non local readers, the title here is essentially a rude bwoy way of greeting you. Apologies for not posting nutten in the last few days, but let us say I got caught up and really hadn’t much to share. BTW, in case you are wondering, this post doesn’t really have a ‘point’ or anything, right now I’m just stating some facts and writing down stuff that comes to mind randomly. So, if you are looking for a well written, well thought out post, I think you are going to be disappointed!

I got up at 5AM this morn. Had some stuff thinking ’bout as well as a document that I needed to edit, which I can happily say is now complete. smily Went through the first part of the bathroom routine (TMI eh?) earlier and now mi cuppa tea sits here with me in front of the computer. At 5 AM the house is so quiet and there is nada to disturb a man, the birds outside are having a chirping frenzy and a cool breeze a roll down off the hill, billowing the drapes in my study. After doing the editing, I realized that a post was due here, so I decided that whatever came to mind would get written.

As you may know, the Bull deh ’bout. Yesterday I loaned my yute the Integra and helped him out with some stuff that he needed to get done. Last nite, he, Seven, Midas, Natty and MBJr. came up for drinks. I had a half litre of VX, well, dat was nutten for three grown male rum drinkers to demolish. I think there is just about enuff left for a one drink….if Angry Dawg want, him can have it…he did sound like he was asking to reach on….but him need to hold a flight to yard still! smily (Probably we need to send a hurricane to his corner of the world! After all, nuh dat cause the Bulls to reach!) Basically we chatted and shared hurricane stories. I think we can all say…..we doh waan hear nutten more ’bout nuh breeze blow, storm surge, flood rain etc! In case you haven’t read it, Mad Bull put his Ivan experience into words, gie it a check. A some serious rass shyte! Far worse than what we had here.smily

Tonight, I am going out to dinner with the rest of the crew from our Unit. One of our number is mekking the trek to the UK to further her dermatology education. It dawned on me that is almost seven years ago that I made that move to rahtid! Time does fly indeed. I wish her all the best. I believe/hope the boss is footing the dinner bill. If she is not then I better walk with nuff diswashing liquid!

Anyhow, right now, I man well raw (hungry) this morning, I think I going buss a tin of sardines and dress it up with some vinegar, scotch bonnett pepper, chopped onions and tomato for breakfast. No dieting crap today at all. After that, I going surf some blogs and then complete the rest of the bathroom routine and collect the Bull on the way to the hospital….yeah, I’m letting him have a borrows off the vehicle again today. (Fret not rude bwoy, the bill cometh! smily Anybody know what the going daily rate to rent an Integra is??)

Finally, in case you didn’t see the contest, the Gleaner has an article about the Miss Jamaiaca World contest, with a photo of the winner Tonoya Toyloy. Go prips it nuh! Later will be greater!

i had sardines this morning. in fact i have been having sardines most mornings of the week. but i have it the boring way… i take out one slice of bread, put it on the plate, open the tin of sardine (in Water) squeeze out the juice in the sink, then turn the can over on top fo the bread and voila the sardines drop on top of the bread. Some mornings i put some slices of cheddar cheese on it and microwave it for a bit, and other mornings i just eat it jus so, no pick-a-pepper, no onions, no seasoning. i like sardines just so….bone string and all. (my sister is grossed out by that). but the bones have plenty calcium. dr d i hope you dont throw a way the bones?

Hmmm… I am not a sardine lover. My breakfast consisted of a BK Whopper and a small orange juice. This was consumed at about 11:00am. I have had nothing else, nor will I until dinner. Scratchie is a wicked man. I never knew how wicked he was. Merciless they should call him. Doc, the likkle lime las’ nite was decent still. Hope you’ll come over to Cayman (after we get back light and water) so I can invite you to a likkle lime like that.

This is why I love reading the blogs of my fellow Jamaicans. I amways find things that take me back to my childhood. I used to eat sardines in a similar way. We used to also mash them up and spread it on some hard dough with some pear.

I will bear your suggestions in mind when writing up the bill for the Bull scratchie! Since is him, I won’t charge any GCT! Yammie, I love sardines. I eat everything…bones too. However, from the tin without being dressed up is not kicking. Have you ever tried King Oscar brand? (you have to get those at Publix in foreign)…’bout $2 US a tin. The smoked ones in olive oil are divine. Glad you enjoyed the lime MB. And to think me never even rustle up some cooking…next time. It was good to beat juice and chat some crap wid de man still…a long time we never do dat inna person. Mek a next trip soon. I will reach turtle country when it restored, but, it look like a next year business still…unless you let off a free ticket pon you Doc bredrin! Ciya, you were with us in spirit, I had Smirnoff Ice in the fridge for you! You’re a pear lover Stu? I guess you would have been happy two weeks back when Ivan had harvested ours…bumper crop to rahtid, though picked a bit before they were ‘full’.

As you know, was it not for mannas when MB and Natty and MB Jr. pushed out, Midas and i would have been there till morning I hear you saying “Thank God, then!” Never fear, if we had ever overstayed our welcome you could always implement Mamacita’s favorite “Time To Go Home Tool” - Turning the broom upside down! There’s a post waiting on that one!!!! Anyways - thanks Doc. As you know, we’re here till Sunday, so we’ll definitely see you again in the week! Ciya - you know we missed you girlfriend! and Ambi too!
