The weekend….’Busy’
Ok, the Mad Bull apparently passed by here this morning, and left some comment asking if I only blog on weekdays between 9-5 as he saw no post since Friday gone….feisty rass!
I suppose him have mout now since him finally get water back and a use generator to make electricity!
(Jus cool my yute.)
Anyway, Friday night, despite the fact that we were having some rains from a tropical wave, I did go street and have a few. Not many folks were as brave as I was to go out during the wet weather, hence the vibes weren’t all that great. So, I returned home early, had one more VX at the yard and hit the bed by ’bout midnite.
Yesterday, I was in a sort of laze around the yard mood. In addition to which, I am up to my neck in Secretarial work as the conference in Tobago approaches (early November). I’m happy to say that I killed a large amount of the work that I have to do between yesterday and this morning, so I feel pretty good about that, as it has been lingering over my head. I hate to have stuff pending for long.
Saturday evening, I brought Natty and MBJr. up to the yard for a bit. Sheggy joined us as well. After about two hours, MBJr seemed to want to go back home (I have come to realize that it is damn hard to keep a child from becoming bored if there are no other little ‘uns around…time I had one eh?), so eventually I dropped them back home.
Seven had called me in the morning, apparently she and Midas were planning to pass by Cuddyz in the night and had wanted to rope me een. I had told her that I wasn’t sure though. You see, I have been there about four times since they have opened and I firmly feel that I will start to find the place boring if I go there too regularly. So, I didn’t go. I ended up purchasing a curried shrimp
from Panda Village in Manor Park. It was damn good and I couldn’t finish it all. I turned in at about ten after watching a boxing match on Showtime and woke up early today….7AM feeling pretty refreshed
Needless to say, I have finished cooking my dinner (a nice piece o pork) and now have the rest of the Sunday to relax miself and get some R&R!
I actually have a bit more to share if you haven’t already started to yawn in boredom…..
This week, someone (a relative) sent me a message by e-mail. All of two sentences. One of which was, “Hi!” The other sentence was essentially one to say how busy the person was and how difficult a person I am to find!
I haven’t replied to the message. In fact, I deleted it. I have called this person on many occasions over the past year, I never been able to speak with a human being at the other end of the line, always voice mail. I have sent e-mail messages…no response. Rahtid, I am just as busy as you say you are. I work full time and part time. I run a home. I have a life despite not having spouse or offspring.
Ok, the point is…..we are all ‘busy’. However, despite our being busy, we all manage to find the time to do what we want to do in our lives. That includes, work, play, going to church, calling or visiting friends or relatives….whatever you waan do, zeen? In the same way that I can find time to call you, you can lift your cordless or cell (if you happen to be so caught up that you can’t get hold of a land line) to gimme a shout as well. After all, you finger dem nuh paralyzed! So much for dat.
Having made my point, and being rather ‘busy’ getting R&R myself
I am going to leave you with a link. There has been quite a number of letters written to the editors of our newspapers here about the last Miss Jamaica contest. It seems that the winner Tonoya Toyloy was not a favourite of many…. (in fact she wasn’t my choice either), nevertheless, she has won. Nutten is going to change that. The Gleaner has an interview with her today. Jus ‘low the girl nuh. You can never please everybody, she may not be your favourite but one never knows, Tonoya may just represent the country well. Have a good Sunday afternoon and night.
P.S. All written above may seem senseless to you, but who says I’m perfect?
