I wasn’t born yet!
I was just reading a short post that mi bredrin Scratchie did. It had a pretty good joke about age. Now, being forty one years old, I think I am perhaps a bit more experienced on the road called life than some twenty year old who left school only a few a years back. (Why I say this will soon be revealed.) But, despite my greys, I think I’m pretty young at heart as you may perhaps have surmised by the ribbing of bredrins and blog pals that features in my posts as well as comments at other sites.
You may remember that I am not married as yet….(that was for the single females out there who may be interested in a male dermatologist that is half (OK, one third) decent looking, can cook fairly well for a man, hold intelligent conversations (sometimes), and has nuff nuff loving to offer! 
) Being an unmarried male I am always on the lookout for potential mates.
A few months ago, I was invited to a birthday lime that one of my medical bredrins was having. I met over drinks and conversation a woman whose physical attributes caught my attention (I’m being decent). The chat went on, and eventually I decided that I was going to put ‘argument’ to this lass. For those who don’t know what ‘put argument’ means, it literally implies that I was going to let her know that I was interested in getting to ‘know her bettter’ shall we say. And I must confess, at the time, the ‘know’ I was thinking of, is in the Biblical sense! 
We chatted some more and eventually, a discussion about high school came up. She asked me when I had graduated from high school. I proudly said, “I981.” She looked at me in shock. “1981″??!! 
I reply, “Yes, what is so alarming?” She looks at me….”I wasn’t born yet!!!!”
Of course, I suddenly feel like a dirty old man. But, a life. I guess I getting old. Any of you rude bwoys or girls ever have a similar experience? Ting is dat she nuh look her age at all. I was figuring she was at least twenty eight.

October 27th, 2004 at 8:43 am Alrighty now-I like this topic. Man and woman ting. As I mentioned on your previous post Dr. D., but meant for this one-I just love how other people can speak for you. I was single for a long, long time, but finally met someone 8 mths ago. This one was hard work but we’ve made good progress. I won’t go into the gory details. However, there is no ring on my finger so one can still look. Dr. D., me have whole heap of girlfriends I can introduce you to. Nice Jamaican girls. (I feel as if I’m running a mail order bride service) If you claim to be what you are-a decent catch, nd I know there are whole heaps of nice young ladies right down a yard, what seems to be the problem here that you can’t find a nice young lady? ARe you too picky?

October 27th, 2004 at 8:50 am Hey there Dr. D., Yes-you need to get out there, but seem as if you do. I know how that is. My many years of incarceration (mending my wounds) i stayed away from the dating scene for a couple years. I had to push myself out there and that changed everything. Once you let people know you’re ready-you’ll see how things start to happen.

October 27th, 2004 at 6:39 pm Well, since everybody taking on the doc tonight, I suppose I have to say my piece as well. Doc, were you saying that the young lady was actually old looking? If so, I must say that lately I’ve been conned quite a bit by women…for instance, I met a girl (a student) the other day and we were talking about school, work, etc. The girl looked and sounded like she had quite a bit of experience under her belt, only to find out that the rass girl barely buss 22! But, I guess 4 kids in almost as many years will mash you dung! {arf,arf}
October 27th, 2004 at 8:04 pm Rass, Doc, the same thing happened to me just before the rass storm took we… I was chatting to a bunch of people about hurricanes, and shyte like that the Thursday before the storm lick Cayman, and the talk got around to Gilbert. A girl in the group (who did look well too, though I wasn’t looking her, after all, I is married) said she remembered Gilbert well even though she was only four when it hit!
Now I knew she was younger than I, but 4 when Gilbert lick Ja? Me did shock! I said incredulously “Only 4 when Gilbert lick?”. I guess she realised that I was quite a lot older than her, because she has taken to calling me “Sir” since then

October 28th, 2004 at 8:28 am It looks like the crew is going be down there Christmas-except for the Mad Bull it seems. Don’t think I’ll make it for Christmas since my folks usually come up from Ja at that time. But next year I’ll come down for summer vacation. Also, if any of you are in So. Fla, please let me know.
October 28th, 2004 at 8:45 am Sunshine, I usually pass chru Florida after my Dermi conference, however, due to a shortage of $$$ dis November, me cyaan reach. Was there in May/June thanks to Air J’s frequent flyer award…me did hold a free ticket to Ft. Lauderdale. Anyway, we will link one day soon.
