Long weekend….

Well people, this evening the Easter holidays begin. For some of us, that means all of four days away from work. For me, it means three as I’m on call Easter Monday. That is not a problem. I was planning a little cook up and rope een of friends for food and drinks on Saturday, but at least two of who I had in mind to invite will be away, so I think I’m going to scratch that idea and postpone for a while. Maybe I will think of a Lime Cay mission on Saturday. I haven’t been out there since before Ivan gave us all a blow….that I personally never enjoyed….much too rough for my liking.

BTW, I suppose that you may be having some bun and cheese for your Easter. Well, not sure if you know it, but I have recently tried out a new cheese that I can recommend…Montery Jack with Jalapeno Peppers….irie nuh ra$$ smily It may not go down well with bun, but just to eat by itself or with some Excelsior Water Crackers as a ‘pick me up’ while you’re tipping back some of your favourite liquid brew…..nice.

They paid us yesterday…..still no sign of gratuity…’twas due from February. Man naw smile. Clearly dollars naw run. Anyhow……seeing I have nutten great to chat about, let me just truncate here and wish you all a Happy and Holy Easter. Spend it any way you wish, and try get ‘een some rest as well.

Doc, I hope you enjoy the weekend whatever you do. If you do go ahead with the cook up…..don’t forget yours truly. My guess is that Lime Cay may be a little crowded on the weekend, so I am betting that you will be cooking. BTW….how bad is the dry spell where you are?

Midas and I went to get some Jamdown food today - he got fish and I got ‘baby-hands’ soup (chicken-foot - it sure looks like baby-hands crawling out of the pot! I can only have it if they break up the foot so I don’t get that vision when I open the container) But the restaurant gave all of their customers a free bun and cheese sandwich today - BONUS!!!

Sis, this is truly weird….”Baby Hands soup” It is bad enough as “chicken foot soup” and you eat it calling it “Baby hands soup”?????!!!!!! Where did we go wrong!!!!!

Actually, for many years I swore I’d never have chicken foot soup - not after the first time somoene handed me a bowl with what looked like a baby’s hand tryling to crawl out. Then, someone gave me some but removed the chicken foot so as to calm my fears - the soup itself has a great flavour! So I love the soup - the baby-hands are the problem. So now, they either serve it to me without the foot or they mash the foot apart so that I don’t get that full baby hands vision! Get it now????? Its a mental thing…
