Liming….

Yeah yeah, I been away from the blog apart from dropping the occasional comment. That is because I have been enjoying miself so far for the weeeknd….and….it nuh done yet.

Las nite I did have over a few people….did my shrimp and fish pasta with some garlic bread and juice flowed from the bar.

Today, I decided to continue the Lime…..but out at the Cay. Nice drive out to Port Royal…..good road surface and not too many vehicles on the road….less fassyholes to watch out for wid dem bad driving. Arrived at about 11 AM and paid the fee at Y Knot…it is now $400 return, they say due to the hike in fuel prices…I never complained still. I carried mi cousin Sprigadee. Now, while we were waiting on the next departure, a set of ’bout six youngsters from Chile arrived….trus me….the gyal dem look like about eighteen, but dem pretty nuh rahtid and dem did fill the bathing suits thongs well……of course…being a warm blooded Jamdown man…I couldn’t help but tek een the sights…

Eventually, we boarded and the ride over to Lime Cay was good. Not too bumpy…I have had far worse. The sea spray coming in from the side of the boat was nice…..very cooling as the sun was a pelt like it was trying to use up all its energy….perhaps why I am now a bit broiled like a lobster despite sunscreen use (hey….me name Dermatologist!)

In about twelve minutes, the familiar site of the Cay came into my view. This is my first trip out there since some time before Hurricane Ivan struck. When I stepped out the boat, it was obvious to me that a fair amount of the shrubs where people would normally lay out their towels and relax on the white sand, had been destroyed by that menacing freak of nature. In addition, the beach has been partially eroded….. the water is now a few feet closer to the thatch bar and food shop. Anyway, as usual, it was lovely. The crystal clear waters, the smell of fish frying, the site of sexy women frolicking in the sun and sea, the rum, the fish soup, hey…it was all good. I shall be back. This is what living is all about….a dis why man work. You hear me?

So, what have you done with your Easter weekend? Let us say the night is still young….and….I am taking call tomorrow…so hear what? I not lingering here too long….cause man haffi enjoy the nite as well….zeen! Let’s drink a toast to Liming.
