Back to work…

Well, the likkle hoilday was well appreciated yesterday. The rainy weather definitely seems to have moved on as it is sunny this morning. However, with the way things have been going, I would not be surprised if we have a wet afternoon later when, as the weather people would say….’daytime heating’ comes into play, making the humidity rise.

Anyway, it is back to the grind this morning. I scanned the newspapers and will highlight just a few articles that caught my attention. Remember that the PSOJ is planning to shut down businessplaces tomorrow as a means of protesting against the crime levels here? Suppem that I said in a previous post, amounted to nutten but a whole heap of flatulence IMHO? Well, I see I am not the only one who feels so. Read this letter to the Editor of the Gleaner. I wonder if the banks will be closing tomorrow as well? I ask as it is payday tomorrow..then again, that means the funds should be credited to our accounts today! smily

Now, the next article that made me cuss two dutty claat while I was having mi cuppa Earl Grey is this one! More for light, AGAIN!? WTF dem expect from people doh eeh? There is just no way for a man to escape the crap….seems to me that the more me try earn de likkle bread, some shyte comes along to eat it. smily smily What to do…..me nuh know. Seems to me some serious conservation efforts need to come into play…though I doubt that it will reflect in the bloody bill.

Anything else a gwaan? Well, I walked yesterday in the evening…and I would like to repeat the performance later today as well. I also need to get a haircut…went Saturday to be informed that my barber went foreign for two weeks….expected back this week. I will shout them later to see if he has returned. Apart from that, things seem much as per usual, but, why complain, that is the nature of life. Up one day, down the next…routine for another two. Anything worthy of mention inna your corners? More time.

Well we have light bill woes too.Because the rain hardly falling they say we have to pay 22% more on the fuel surcharge.
  3. Dr. D. Says:
Kami….does that mean that a high percentage of your electricity is hydro generated? If so, I can understand why you will have to pay a higher surcharge in the event of drought. Right now, it raining lightly, I will see if I can send some of the clouds over to SVG.
