What a gwaan?

yorklake.jpg

Hail up all. The holiday is now officially over…too damn short! But anyway, why complain….without the J-O-B I would have no funds with which to finance some leave, so I won’t bother to complain…you seeit?

The photo above was taken in York, Pennsylvania….it is of a lake (whose name slips me now) that is about a half mile down the road from where Rufie, my sister lives. Really beautiful country in the summertime with the rolling hills, streams and green corn fields. I miss my dear neice badly and am thinking of another trip to see her in the fall if I can squeeze it …leave wise and financially. Children mature so quickly that one has to enjoy the various stages of their development. Before you ‘quint’ as we say here…dem grow up, lose all the innocence of childhood and acquire all the hangups that we as adults have. Maybe some of the wealthier bloggers in the crew like Mad Bull can forward a ticket for a bredrin!smily Wait…the rude bowy seh no? Alright….be like that! Dis yah one is fe you! smily smily Jus cool my yute, a nuh nutten.

The week in Pennsylvania was spent pretty quietly, and then I headed south to Ft. Lauderdale. The usual shopping and driving up and down in Broward County took place. Last weekend we had to chill as we got some breeze and rainy weather with lightening from Dennis the Menace. As a result, Sunshine cancelled her dinner which I had an invi to….and we were unable to link after…..so much to do…so little time. I hope to meet her when she comes to Ja. It was nice chatting with her on the telephone though. As I mention Dennis….South Florida…apart from Key West really never got too much of a blow…..but you can always count on the television networks. Every ten to fifteen minutes they had some reporter live giving you coverage. Now I had to laugh when I saw a reporter saying….”We do have some water collecting here…” Trus me….the man have the camera showing a puddle of water in a parking lot and a twig that got blown off a tree! My cousin’s husband was watching with me……he blurts out…..”Rass, when I piss more water come out dan dat!” smily We both had a good laugh.

Anyway, it seems that by Saturday Emily may well decide to visit us, though she was not invited. I hope that if she does pass our way, she will have the decency to jus chill out and behave as a guest who has crashed a session should….quiet and incognito…or we may jus haffi ask security to throw her out!

In case you don’t know, Mad Bull and crew are here, so we been lnking and imbibing VX, Red Stripe and ting. My yute has fallen in love with a certain dawta on my Jamaica Caliente calendar. Cyaan blame him still..she look noice! smily Anyhow, I should be visiting y’all a bit more regularly now, and I should have lots of posting fodder…..travelling does that. So, mek me go hold some breakfast and visit el cuarto de bano antes de visitar el hospital…(visit the bathroom before visitng the hospital). Lataz.

is you tell Emily bout di session…don’t it? What amazes me are the idiot reporter that stand out in the hurricane and point out the signs and trees that are blowing past them….”And there goes the sign from the hotel….I have to be careful here…make sure nothing comes by and hits me….” Jackass….if you stand outside in a hurricane you gonna get claated wid debris…no 2 ways about it…… Notice that is only the white reporters doing it though….black reporters lock up at home wid dem wife.

Wud up Dr. D.? Just a pass through your blog. I remember a certain blogger “Yamfoot” saying hurricanes with male names are much worse than the ones with female names (in a series of examples of why guys are worse than girls). I don’t get that feeling about Emily, but I really hope we don’t have find out if she can hold her own with the male hurricanes.
