More rains….
Bwoy, it seems there is no end to this rain season. I just skimmed through the Gleaner on line and came across this article. Now, last night while having a few Stripes at Jamdown Canadian’s yard, and shooting the breeze….. (me not on call all dis week!
) I had noticed in the distance the blackness of the night sky intermittently brightening up as a consequence of lightening. Thought not too much of it, (maybe as I was a enjoy the chat wid mi bredrin) but now I realize that it was quite likeley as a result of rains pelting the St. Mary region. Unfortunate about the loss of life eeh…..but then again, in this country hard as it may sound to say…is better somebody go as a result of a natural disaster than on account of gun violence.
Right now, I am home for a while, had a bowl of chicken soup for lunch and in a while I’m to head out to private practice. Sky getting very dark as I write, though we have had a sunny day so far. I wonder if rain a go pelt this evening into tonight? We roads dem mash up enuff aready. Oh well, we jus haffi go wid de flow…..
On a slightly different note….y’all getting nuff Xmas carols on your radio stations? I must say that it sorta getting me into the spirit of Christmas, but I not so sure I ready to tek it on yet. As fe de merchant dem…stores dem decked out inna dem Christmas best. This year I really not into nuh heap of commercialism, ham will deh bout, sorrel, cake, lika and bredrins. I may even make the effort to make it to Mass. (Hope the church nuh collapse if I do.)
Enjoy the rest of your day. I jus here a pass a likkle time. Good thing to do to help de stress yuhself. Mas tiempo.
