Its Friday!
Hola mi peeps. A rather cool and at the moment overcast Jamaican morning here in Stony Hill. Just passing by to hail you really. But, not to leave you without a likkle suppem….I see where Bushy was called to attend jury duty. As usual, Bushy was ‘busy’…….is a wonder he wasn’t on vacation as is frequently the case…(vacation from wah!?) Anyway, mek me not be too hard pon him (he is by no means a fav. of mine)…it seems he might do the duty at a later date.
I’ll end with a question. Now, I know one blogger in our crew who has been called to jury duty, and rose to the task. Any of you out there ever done it? Did you find the case interesting? If so, and you can, share some of it nuh.

December 2nd, 2005 at 12:46 pm It was just 16 degrees when I got up this morning, and it’s not much warmer now. Brrrrrrr! I’ve been called about six times for jury duty, but I’ve only had to serve once. And, that time I served on a grand jury for just one day. One of our duties was to inspect the County Jail and confirm that the facilities were in good shape, and the prisoners seemed to be treated well. My husband has NEVER been called. I wonder why MY name keeps coming up?

December 2nd, 2005 at 7:38 pm I probably will never get a chance to do jury duty now that I’m about to become a lawyer. For some reason neither the defense or prosecution are usually excited about lawyer jurers and so we get axed pretty quick in the selection process.

December 4th, 2005 at 6:49 pm Oh yeah, I got called for Jury Duty once… it was actually fun. The thing is I never got picked, and I was SOOO looking forward to sending some poor schmuck up the river.
