Another weekend…
Yes, the week is coming to a close…time is flying. As usual, I am looking forward to this evening. Last night after work, I went by a bredrin’s house. He was having a little dinner in honour of his Father’s birthday, to which I was invited. Good food…lasagne, spare ribs, salad. Good company and VX in ample supply. Lots of laughs were shared. Came home at about 11:15.
On a different note, one of our patients died this week in hospital. Sort of took us aback as the lady was doing well and being prepared for discharge and in the space of 24 hours, suddenly made a downhill turn for the worse. Though we have diagnoses that we entertained for her sudden worsening, and did what we could, we are unable to put a cause of death on her death certificate…so we have requested a post mortem, to which her relatives gave consent. First in years that I have had to request a PM for one of our patients. We will see what it shows…if Pathology agrees to go ahead and do it…they do have the final word.
Tomorrow, I tekking a drive to Portland……to check out the office. This because, next week Saturday I am starting a once a month Portland practice. I will see how it turns out. Some Blueberry Hill Jerk Pork on the way back is a must with a cold Red Stripe Beer. in addition, I will inhale some fresh country air and see some scenery. Apart from that, not much more to report or discuss. So, I will end by saying, TGIF and have a good weekend.

February 19th, 2006 at 10:34 am Well, Friday morning Pathology called to inform me/us that they were unable to accomodate our request for the post mortem….saying they are short staffed and have many PM requests…. I wasn’t too happy with that, neither was my boss. But I suppose we can write a death certificate…just that the section requiring cause of death, though we have ideas…we will never really be able to confirm….I’ll have to contact the relatives tomorrow to explain this to them. Hmph…..
