Random Monday AM chat…
Well, it wasn’t a bad weekend at all. Enjoyed my little drive to Portland as usual. Left the house by 7:50 AM Saturday morning, and I was in Port Antonio by 9:30 AM. Traffic was scarce on the road. I only saw three patients, but give it time, I am sure the practice will pick up. Word of mouth is perhaps the best form of advertising for a medical practice. Had some lunch before the return drive and stopped at Blueberry Hill as per usual to purchase some of that divine Jerk Swine.
I was back home by 6 PM.
By the time I got home, saw Daddy glued to the TV….I almost forgot that the election to decide who was to become the new PNP Leader and Prime Minister of our country was taking place. Well, if you don’t already know….history was created, as we now for the first time will have a woman leading our nation in the person of Sister Portia! I really wasn’t following this campaign too much. But I suppose when she takes up office in another month or so, we will see if having a woman runnin tings going mek any difference. So, I suppose we jus haffi wait an see.
This new work week will have a public holiday right inna de middle o it! 
Wikid. Wednesday is Ash Wednesday here. Already there are plans afoot for me and the crew….as Tuesday night going come ‘een like a Friday….you done know. Tomorrow evening, I am also supposed to go have my eyes cheked out. I am about six months overdue. I pripsed a pair of new frames that I rather liked a few weeks back…..will set me back a number of G’s but whatever…the health card is supposed to pay about 40% of the cost.
Anyhow, as nutten else worthy of discussion a gwaan, mek me haul mi tail al cuarto de bano para hacer preparaciones para el trabajo….(to the bathroom to make preparations for work.) Hasta la vista.

February 28th, 2006 at 1:13 am Congratulations to Portia. She has one heck of a job on her hands. She will have to “bring it” everytime. She will not only be judged as Prime Minister but as a woman. PJ needs to step down and elections need to be called. Then Portia (or Bruce) can run the country free and clear of electoral encumbrances like having to use up their energy campaigning all over the country. She/he can then get down to the business of running the govt. and making the necessary changes.
