Coo Yah
Oonoo know what that is?
It is the “boat” used by the latest set of Cuban refugees who washed up on the shores here in Grand Cayman, actually, up in Breakers, which isn’t that far from where I live right now.
There were ten men and one woman on that boat. They used it to cross a stretch of sea which has some of the deepest waters in the world! I don’t like the look of it, I don’t know about you… I wouldn’t trust it to sail across the North Sound, much less between Cuba and here… can you imagine what things must be like over in Cuba, that eleven people would brave the elements in a vessel like that?!
And then after it all, Cayman has an agreement with Cuba to repatriate any Cubans who are held here.
Poor Cubans.
