Just checking een…
Like nuff o you I been away from in front o the computer screen. This weekend I was on call. Juggled work, World Cup and linking bredrins. Turned out OK overall, just that I am a bit tired, but so it go.
Friday night, I was not on call, so the usual links were made. Had stopped at a rude dude yard for a few, before hitting the road. When leaving, we heard some shouting and cussin coming from one of the homes across the road. Rude dude seemed most undisturbed by the ruckus. He lives in a complex with townhouses, so units are pretty close. As he says, if him buss a fart or get down to bizniz too loud, the neighbours hear. He said that quarrels are always coming from that home….a young woman and her mother who don’t seem to share the same living space well. It all seemed so strange to me…..see, because I live in a house, that sort of thing is not a regular occurrence to me at all. I can get on with all manner of stuff without worrying too much about neighbours… (not to imply that I am)…. But even if I were to live in that sort of setting, I couldn’t live so….constantly a quarrel and shyte….dem ting deh give me bad stomach and add to stress! Why people can’t try to sort out their differences in a civilized manner? I mean, everyone on the whole block does not need to know that you and your daughter are having differences, do they?
Anyway……the balling continues today. As usual, I will tek een the first 20 minutes or so of match one before hitting the shower and heading to work. I don’t recall who is playing today, but the game is sweet. BTW, some good rahtid boxing did show Saturday night on HBO as well. More time.
June 19th, 2006 at 6:53 pm Didn’t really enjoy the Sunday football games.France really having a bad tourney eh?.I so hate when people make their bizniz so public cos you end up feeling embarrassed.
June 19th, 2006 at 8:16 pm Just so long as the projectiles are solely verbal.

June 20th, 2006 at 2:08 am Doc….France going home early again like in 2002. Di coach waan two lik….how you must have Saha and Treseguez on the bench whole game and den bring on Treseguez in the 90th minute….a wha im a go do? Work miracle? Spain is looking ominous, Brazil nuh play nutten yet,Germany is a tournament team,I’m expecting Ghana will beat the U.S. and go tru,Argentina look sublime. The game between Gemany and Ecuador at 9:00am should be a cracker (both are on six points).
June 20th, 2006 at 9:29 am Today’s games should be a little more exciting. Saw a few of the weekend matches but none were the write home about kind. Because of work I’ll have to be satisfied with the replays.

June 20th, 2006 at 7:54 pm Why the hell doesn’t she just move out?
June 21st, 2006 at 2:59 am That’s why I want some yard space between me and my neighbors. Right now i live in an apartment complex and one of neighbors smoke, and evrytime she lights up I have to be locking up my windows and doors.
June 21st, 2006 at 8:43 am I never saw any of yesterday’s WC action due to rahtid work!
June 21st, 2006 at 10:07 am Good day… I did not watch any soccer, for North America this weekend was the final two games of the NHL. It was close, but our Alberta Team (the Edmonton Oilers) did not win… Congrats to the Carolina Hurricanes. Appartment & multi-family dwellings can be very noisy at times - hard to imagine going back to that after moving to a single-dwelling home! Too bad that Mom & Daughter don’t put some restraint into the way they speak to eachother, who knows, it could be a more productive discussion!
June 23rd, 2006 at 3:37 am Just a quick big up Dr.D hope everyting is well in Jamdown. The World Cup has been pretty good this year overall. Seems to be a lot more about team play than individual talent, but may be those days are gone.
