Yeah, overdue again….

Well, thank the Lord for small mercies, like this weekend. This is the first for the week that I am at home enjoying a little R & R. I have only just now got a little time on my hands to write something down here. I see in a comment on my last post that Mad Bull has insinuated that I have been starving my readers of bloggage, resulting in you all developing like yon Cassius, in Julius Caeser, ‘a mean and hungry look’. Sorry about that. I hope that what follows will be read with gusto, digested and help to strengthen your body, move some intestinal gas and contribute to your overall well being!

Well, the news re the patio that was broken into is that the concrete walls are up. They just need to finish rendering them and then painting will be done. I have decided to use a brownish sort of maroon colour, inkeeping with the ‘tavern’ feel out there. I suppose that when it is finished, I will need to have an offical re-opening of the bar and invite the crew up for bebidas (drinks). I will need to go and purchase a replacement CD player and some tracks, as right now, no tengo musica a mi casa, porque los ladrones tiene mi CDs! (I do not have any music at my home because the thieves have my CDs!) I guess I should mention suppem about the futbol. I cried no tears, in fact I had nuff cheers when I saw things starting to crash for England. They had it coming, and should have received a hard boot from the competition long ago IMHO. Big up to the Portugese, I am hoping they can do some big tings as the other teams left behind, Germany, France and Italy I just nuh too love. Despite that, I feel it will be a Germany-France final and I think the Germans will win that war.

I wasn’t surprised to see Brazil go. Somehow they just did not seem to come to their usual form in this tournament. My original team was really Argentina, but they should be very much back home already.

Weatherwise, the last few days have been scorching and humid. It dampens one’s energy level. It is good beach weather too. Maybe in the weeks to come I will make a Lime Cay move. Can’t be the coming weekend ot the one after as I am on call both those weekends. We are entering a period of short staffing on my Unit as one of our number has gone off on Maternity Leave. In additon, my boss is going on three weeks off starting tomorrow, so we will be down to two full time staff members from four. Hard times for yours truly. Anyway…..

Tuesday I have Mrs. C’s funeral to attend at 11 AM. I will have to leave work to attend and, go back to work for the afternoon clinic. I will then join the family in the evening after work for some spirit. I am already dreading the heat in a suit at that time during the day.

This afternoon, my cousin Beloved arrives from FLL, I was with her on my last trip up so. I have been invited by her sister Sprigadee to little luncheon up at her house, so that is where I will be heading later. I have purchased a bottle of Yellow Tail Shiraz to help make the occasion a bit more spirited! ‘Till next time, enjoy the rest of your weekend and keep cool.

Only one bottle of Yellow Tail? Whats up with that - come on doc! Doc, I laughed along with you when England went out. Bastards should have gone out long ago. My team (Brazil) well you saw what happened. Zidane and Henry took them out. Enjoy the rest - I am hoping that Italy will spare Germany the trouble of a further match, and afford them an early rest by eliminating them and sending them home.

Ok, I will try this shiraz out! Had some red wine in the company of three lovely ladies (one of whom was Natty) and it was quite good! I have decided I will be drinking it some of the time from now on. Tell me the names of some good ones.
