Miss World is Coming Up!
Yes, my crew! The Miss World Competition is approaching fast! Let me tell you who I like from the Caribbean today, and I will give you my choices from elsewhere anodda time. Mighty Afroditee, Gela and Cool Destiny, please give me your input in the comments to this one, cool?
Ok, first things first. The Miss World people dem don’t consider Guyana to be part of the Caribbean, but I do. Consequently I will include Miss Guyana in the Caribbean Region, not in the Americas where they have her. I am not going to give you tons of details about the whys and wheretofores of my selections because I consider that my selections should stand on their own, ie. they would be most people’s selections. Also, I am lazy to type all of that.

The ladies I like in the Caribbean section are as follows (in alphabetical order) :

Of thes ladies above, I am unable to select only one! I therefore will tell you the two I pick as my choice for Queen of the Caribbean! They are Miss Aruba and Miss Guyana! Congratulations, ladies!
Of course, since Miss World puts Guyana in the Americas, I guess what I am saying is that I expect Miss Aruba to run things in the Caribbean, but if Miss Guyana is included, it would have to be solved by a coin toss for me…

I really think Sara Lawrence from Jamaica is pretty and I think Miss Martinique is really pretty too (of course they all are pretty) but Queen of the Caribbean should be one of those two. But why did I think Miss World had already gone for the year? So what did I just watch about a month or so ago?

Y we never jazz up our girl wid de whole glamorous photo shoot look wha’ everybody else have?! Look how Dominica jazz up fi dem girl. Aruba’s swimsuit is sendin’ me 2 de mall (luv fashion & that gold applique effect pon de sea-blue suit), but I’m resistin’ de temptation — so hard 2 resist.

Digged her favourite quote in her biography, and digged the fact that she has a fraternal twin brother, (though this is not influence my decision!!)

Rememba Eva was just as much a diva (thus ‘Eva-Diva’), but wasn’t it great when YaYa did that likkle ‘respeto’ diva lecture, wearin’ de T-shirt wid de Portuguese word for ‘respect’ on it?!
