Half way up….

OK, so it is semi erected! And I am not referring to mi bredrin with one eye and a pretty bald head that goes everywhere with me! smily I am talking ’bout the Christmas tree. I got it standing and put on the branches last night, but I say it is only semi erect, as the lights and decorations will have to wait ’till tonight after work to get done. Man never have the energy fe go all de way last night at all. I remember in my days as a yute, how my sister and I looked forward to putting up the tree, not to mention, watching the number of presents beneath it, increase in number as the 25th of December approached. My how time has changed. Mark you, even though my sister is now married and living in ‘foreign’, and Mummy has passed away, it would just not feel right for the season to pass without having a tree in the place. There was never a Christmas I can recall that we didn’t have tree. So, I will finish the job tonight. Perhaps rope een some peeps for a few midweek beverages while putting on the finishing touches.

So, what else will you be doing to make the season jolly? Well, personally, I am trying to make an effort to make it to church on Christmas Eve. Recently (perhaps a sign that me a get ole to rass) I find myself thinking about my salvation from time to time. You know the kinda, ‘What if God was to call mi numba today? Would I be ready?’ Now, I must confess, I am no regular church goer, is basically wedding, funeral and ting that get me there (and in recent years, weddings a get well scarce!) But I can’t lie, is just the truth…… So, since I find the time to do everything else associated with the season, exchange gifts, plan a dinner, party and drink lika, eat ham and drink sorrel, I think I should fit the Lord in as well, after all, its all about the celebration of His birth. So, mass it will be.

It looking like mi vehicle will NOT be in the garage in time for the 25th unfortunately! smily Have been told the date of arrival of the vessel carrying it is to be next week Monday, but I nuh know. So, weekend, the yute who is selling me the cyar supposed to set me up on suppem to drive until such time, which I hope will be a matter of a few weeks.

Well, that’s enough chat from me, as the title here starts with ‘half way’, is time for me to flash, as the clock is now saying its half way through the hour of eight, i.e 8:30. The work a call me. Later.

Yep, I plan to be in church too. It’s the one weekend (along with easter and new years) that church is a definite must. Plus since I’ll be in Florida with my mom I really wouldn’t have a choice even if I didn’t want to. hehe. She’s still the mother! But yes, definitely need to feed the soul. Hush bout the car, you’re getting it to start the year at least? Oh hush GG, it’s the absolutely worst time to have car troubles!
