First for…

…the year. I won’t bother to call it ‘New’ as it seems to me 2006 simply changed into 2007….this continuum called time. At midnite on the 31st (or is that 1st?) I was at a bredrin/cousin’s home having eaten nuff Chiney food at about 11:00 and I was on about my fourth VX and coconut water by the time the date changed and the fireworks and clappers was a shoot off and buss ’bout the place, lighting up the night sky intermittently. Was a close group of about twelve peeps, family and friends……that is how I think New Year’s Eve is to be spent…with peeps that are close to you. We all decided that we weren’t going to a party where we would have got lost like numbers in a Lottrey Drum….. A good time was had by all.

At about 2 AM….(some six or maybe seven VXs later) my self and a bredrin parted the company and headed for a second stop at a sistren’s yard where we were also invited to pass chru. We told her that we would see her and her sistrens early in the year….and so we did. By the time we got there, everyone in attendance did well juiced (including rude bwoy and miself)…so nuff laughing, ribbing, cussin and bad behaviour was a gwaan. Anyway, it was all in good fun. Made it home after 4 AM and had a chicken sandwich, nuff water and two Panadols before conking out.

So, today is January 4th already. Some good news…my wheels are presently in the island waiting to be cleared from the wharf…..I hope to have the krissas parked in the garage/on the road by some time next week.

Work is back to usual, then again, I shouldn’t say that. Clinic attendance seemed a bit lower than normal…probably the patients still drunk or in holiday mode. I guess by next week all will be back to bizniz as per…

Maybe is just me, but it seems that the beauty that the Christmas tree and lights had over the season seems to get lost so quickly once the holiday season passes? Of course, there now is the drudgery of having to remove the decorations and lights, and take down the tree and store it again for Christmas ‘07. Probably Sunday if I get the feel.

The mad people were out on the road over the season, but they are still doing dem crap now that the season done. Today, I was driving into Sovereign for lunch. I see a Sunny Taxi parked on the other side of the road. There is a silver Integra approaching the taxi…..(looks similar to my old wheels…the one that the engine got frig)….driver him cyaan wait. So, the prick decides to come round the taxi in a rush, almost hits me and then realizes that his space is tight. Eediat fassy nuh claat de taxi! All cause him couldn’t wait. I read the lips of the taxi driver…..nuff fabric did sell at some wholesale prices! Course, I continued on my merry way.

Got two late but nevertheless well received Christmas presents today. One from my sister….the two Kenny G CDs that were stolen (along with many others) when the phuckers broke in the house last year. So, I can now play some relaxing tunes when man get frus out. The other gift was from someone who I had helped out over the season. Man in his seventies who had developed a bout of gastroenteritis over the holidays. I had gone to his home and given him some medical attention to get him out of the lurge (this included setting up a drip and giving him some IV fluids). He got better pronto. Yesterday his wifey called me while I was at work saying I should pass by the house on the way home from work…she had a gift for me. So, I did. Got a bottle of Appleton Special Reserve! I can see me and the crew killing it.

Anyway, this post was perhaps stimulated by the fact that when I clicked on my site, I saw a blank page earlier. So, here is the first (of I can’t say how many) for 2007. All the other bloggers who still in holiday mode need to wake up for the year as well. Respec.

Eventful life as always Doc. You had fun with friends and family, with the usual VX on hand. Still getting presents eh? I wouldn’t bother giving any after Christmas.

Doc: Glad you’re getting your wheels. Soon you’ll be cruising in you criss car. I’m glad the holiday season is over and I can embark on my goals for this year. I already started. I’ve given up my soap operas, Y&R, B&B and As The World Turns. I was getting dissatified with the plots anyway, especially Y&R. So this was a good time to say adios. (Lord, help me to not get sucked back in.) Can you believe it, this past Saturday people were running around New York City in shorts and t-shirts. I’ve been here since Wappy kill Fillup and have never experienced such a warm “winter” before! Hope this is a fabulous year for all. I just want to win the Mega Millions jackpot which is now up to US$122 million!!
