Is it just me? Am I being too harsh or expecting too much?

Have you noticed that mediocre is the new average? Like before if someone was average, it was like OK that’s to be expected but now its like we accept mediocre as the standard? Read more »

A Cute Puppy and a Coupla Jokes DO a Post Make…

I think I would hold an American Bulldog. Yeah man, dem deh nice! Unfortunately, they are illegal here in the Cayman Islands, (I guess because they are afraid of pit bulls and so they paint every “bully” breed with the same brush) so no dice, I guess, unless I get someone who sails canoes into West Bay and East End by night to bring one over along with their regular cargo… not that I’d really do that, and not that I even know such people. (You can never tell if the police be reading my blog, know what I mean?) ) Hey, you can click on the picture above to see more photos of that precious pup, if you like…

Anyway, I also have a little joke for you…

A man is sitting at a bar one night, wearing a fancy new watch, covered with buttons and lights and dials. The woman next to him says, “Wow, that’s a really fancy watch.”

Thanks, says the guy, “It’s the cutting edge of technology. I can telepathically ask this watch anything I want to know, and it’ll answer me, telepathically.”

“Rubbish,” says the girl.

“No, it’s true,” says that guy. “Look, tell you what, I’ll prove it. I’ll ask it if you’ve got any panties on.”

The guy scrunches up his eyes for a moment, as if concentrating hard to talk to his watch, then opens them and says, “Nope, it says you haven’t got any panties on.”

“Well, it’s wrong,” says the girl, “I do have panties on.”

“Damn,” says the guy, slapping his watch, “it’s an hour fast!” D

I’d love to spend some more time with you but I have to flash, because I got some stuff around here that needs cleaning and unfortunately, they don’t clean themselves (

Me gone. TTYL.

A True Workaholic

Hail, my crew… what a gwaan? Bwoy, I am sitting here waiting on Natty to come back home so that we can get on with watching the second season of the TV series “24″. As I sat there, mulling over what had been going on in the series so far, a question came to me.

There is a character on the show, his name is George Mason. He runs the Counter Terrorist Unit, and they are all focused on finding out where some terrorists have hidden a Nuclear bomb in Los Angeles, right? He gets a report which indicates that Gov’t. think tank types have calculated that there is an 89% chance that the bomb won’t be found in time and that it will in fact explode, killing millions of people.

He loses it momentarily, deciding that he is going to get the hell out of Los Angeles. While he is making his way out of the city, his second-in-command, Tony Almeida, calls him to say that the cops have found as vehicle with a license place number which was somehow tied to the case. Tony asked him to check it out. He didn’t want to, but he let Tony convince him.

So he goes to where the cops found the car and he enters a building with them. Unfortunately for George, this is the building where the terrorists were putting the bomb together. They get attacked by a terrorist or two who were still hanging around and in the shooting, a glass chamber gets destroyed, releasing lots of radiation. George falls unconscious, right in this area of high radiation. Because he was in this area, he gets radiation poisoning. The doctors give him somewhere between between a day and few days to live.

Horrible picture, isn’t it? What does George do? He gets dressed and goes BACK TO WORK! Clearly the man is a patriot beyond compare! I mean, if I had only one to three days to live, I don’t think I would go back to work. There are so many other things to do! You could just go and party! Wine, women, song, the works! Damn! Doesn’t that sound fine! )

Or maybe I could just hang with family and friends… maybe I could just soak up some time with them before I drop out… or perhaps I would go to church. Try to get as far back into God’s good books as I could in the time I had left, you know! That actually might be a damned good idea! Hey, I am not sure exactly what I would do in those circumstances, but I do know I wouldn’t spend that time working!

Anyway, here is my question: If you were told you only had about three or four days left to live, what would you do with the time remaining to you?
