How Was Your Weekend?

Posted in How Awful?!, Interesting Stuff, Thoughtful, General on October 22nd, 2007 by Mad Bull

Mine was pretty decent still. Friday night was fucked, actually, but the rest of the weekend was pretty irie. So what made Friday fucked up? Well, Friday, Natty and I went clubbing, in an after, after work sort of way. All my co-workers who we were to be hanging with for part of the nite left as work was finished, but Natty and I had to set MBJr. up with a sitter, a process that took about two more hours, so we were already several drinks behind them when I bucked them up finally at “The Office” (a local bar and lounge). I should have realised that I would never be able to catch up.

I was past hungry by the time we got there, so we ordered some of that overly oily chicken wings and fries that they serve there. The gas in my system combined in a less-than-optimal way with the liquor and the oily food and so I wasn’t feeling 100% from early o’clock! Then we left “The Office” and went to “DLK” - the same bar by Dump Road where I was ganged some time ago. The place did ram! Nuff nuff ppl, all crowding the place and outting on some dancing. Natty and I stood up in a corner sipping on our drinks and watching the people. As I stood there watching them dance and have a great time, I realised that everybody else was having a blast and I was not.

That pissed me off and so I left with Natty, hoping to join up with HER crew. We went by “Harry’s Bar” and we realised that her crew never made it at all. The vibe was just absolutely absent. I didn’t even finish the drink I got when I went in. About half way through, I just put that sucker down and Natty and I left for home, where I lay down in my bed and fell instantly asleep.

Saturday and Sunday were cool though. I decided to do some work on a website I have been loafing on building, then I linked up a woman I used to work with and did some work with her on some code she couldn’t get working. After that I linked up with the guy I was doing the website for and showed him the pages. We spent some time going over it, then we drove up and down taking a few pictures to use to create a banner for the site.

After that, I went home and did some more work on the code I was helping the lady with. A substantial amount of that code is now written. As a result of my efforts with the code , I had to muck around quite a bit with SQL Server 2005 and I must say I learned a lot! I got a lot of things worked out and configured with the SQL Server software loaded on Compi as well, so that was irie.

In the evening, I set up this redundant PC I picked up from work for fifty bucks, then I loaded it up with Ubuntu Server. That was interesting as well. I now have a nice little LAMP box to fool around with. This is great! I plan to use this box to get more familiar with PHP coding and MySQL databases and perhaps with some Java coding as well. We shall see if I ever find the time! ? ??:

I guess if I spend less time blogging and more doing this coding / database / web app work, I may learn something and may even create something interesting. Perhaps I may even become worthy enough to at least grovel at the feet of one such as Owen or Taylor. If the stuff I develop is good enough to sell, that would be irie too! )

On Sunday, I did a bit of reading of a novel, (Jean M. Auel’s “The Valley of Horses“), I watched the final 24 CD I had to watch, thus finishing up the third season finally, and then I went to the Gym. (that was irie, I love how I feel after the workout). We went out to Canton Restaurant for a great lunch, then we came home. I lounged around until dark descended, then we went for a drive around East End and North Side, then back to Bodden Town, just to get out of the house. Later on that night, I configured an FTP server on the Ubuntu LAMP server and ftp’ed over some web pages to it, just to see how well it served up the pages. It was great.

There you have it. A great tech weekend! I haven’t done something like that in a long time. Perhaps that is why it was so much fun! )

Did I manage to keep you here or did I bore you to tears?

Well, for those of you still here, check this out:

Well, Well, WELL WELL WELL!!!

Wow! Apparently a lot of Jamaican men have been having paternity tests done recently and the “rate of exclusion” is pretty high! What is the rate of exclusion? That is basically saying that the men are proven NOT to be the father of the children that they have been supporting!

What a preckeh! It sounds like we cyah trust these women as far as we can throw them, and when you look at the size of some of the “mampy” ones, you know say we cyah throw them very far at all! mad

So, what is the actual rate at which the men are being proven NOT to be the father of these picknies? Well, the people who are doing the testing have been running a little study. Their study won’t be complete until the end of August, so they won’t know for sure until then, but so far, it appears that one in every three men who does the test has been “given a jacket”! The testers suspect that the final figures at the end of the month will show that the ratio will be even worse than that! o

Can you believe it? Is this REALLY how tricky Jamaican women are? Mi God! Yardie women, what oonoo have to say for oonoo-self? o

I don’t know about you, but I plan to check in when month end comes around for the final figures!

Does anyone know where we can get figures that will show how our women compare to women of other Caribbean countries, as well as to women from the U.S. and Canada, and perhaps to women from the various countries of South America as well?

Yow, me was ah idle ’round pon de ‘Net and me come ‘cross a post that mek me bawl out “Rass!” and me decide seh me haffi share it wid oonoo!

IF YOUR GIFT IS NOT PACKED THE WAY YOU WANT IT, IT’S BECAUSE IT IS BETTER PACKED THAT WAY! ALWAYS APPRECIATE LITTLE THINGS; THEY USUALLY LEAD YOU TO ATTACHMENTS!

This is the story I read forwarded by my brother about a student who finally reached his goal of graduating with honors from a fine school. He had a dream of having his own sports car and he knew his father can afford to buy it for him. He requested this as a graduation gift. Graduation day came, and after the ceremony, his fathercalled him and handed him a box personally wrapped in his own simple way. The boy was surprised because in the box was a Holy Bible! He got mad, and so he left and went away to live on his own.

Many years passed. After successfully opening his own business and getting a good family, sometimes he would remember his father living alone far away from him. One day he received a letter informing him that his father passed away and willed all his possesions to him. He needed to go back there to arrange everything and when he went, he saw the bible given to him after his graduation by his father. He opened the Bible and read this verse:
Matt 7:11, “And if ye, being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Heavenly father which is in heaven, give to those who ask Him?”
As he read those words, a car key dropped from the back of the Bible. It had a tag with the dealer’s name, the same dealer who had been selling the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words… “PAID IN FULL”! He cried, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart…..
How many times do we miss God’s blessings because they are not packaged as we expected?
Be thankful for whatever blessings we have from God.

Interesting little story still, in fact it did sortah fuck up. Me tink dah son deh did wicked doh! Him did deserve de pain weh him feel when de key drop outta de Bible, because him nuh fe dash weh him family because him nuh get de gift weh him want, especially when de gift so expensive. Him too licky licky, Rasta. Anyway, thanks to Anique Anik fi dis likkle story yah.

She Reminds Me…

Posted in Crazy Shyte, Questions, Questions, Questions..., Thoughtful on August 12th, 2007 by Mad Bull

This lady is a porn star, her name is Nikita Denise. She is f*cking hot to look at, IMHO. Apparently she is originally from Czechoslovakia. Wait? Isn’t that where Veronika Zemanová comes from too? I think that an Eastern European cruise might be in order for Natty and I. )

Just kidding, Natty! Doh beat me…

I saw this picture of her on Howard Stern’s website and decided to share it with you. Nikita is a very bad girl… very bad. Not the sort of girl you would want your daughter to hang out with… in fact, the only person in his family any man would want Nikita hanging out with is probably himself! Apparently Nikita has been featured in over 315 porn movies and has won several adult industry awards including the AVN Award for Female Performer of the Year in 2002.

On 24 July, 2006, Nikita appeared on “Inside the Porn Actor’s Studio”, hosted by Richard Christy. Here, read a bit of what Nikita had to say while she was being interviewed by Richard on Howard Stern’s show…

In the first segment, Richard asked Nikita if it was difficult to do “a double-anal scene,” and she replied it was because of the “tightness” of her rear end. However, Nikita added she used dildos in order to stretch her anus for the shoot, which got a round of applause from the crowd.

Next, Richard asked Nikita if she ever received gifts for sex, and she said she graduated from high school because of her “pussy,” noting she “f*cked a teacher” in order to get through school.

Nikita went on to say she once was bleeding through her mouth, vagina and rear end during a porn scene, but she continued filming it so she could finish the film.

Talk about bad! She probably has more right to say she “bad from she born” than Munga Honourable does! Double anal! Rorse! I don’t think she could possibly have the “tight anus” problem after doing a double-anal scene though, do you? Anyway, what is the reason why I posted up her picture? Well, aside from her being rather easy on the eyes, she totally reminds me of the girlfriend of a guy I know. Bigtime! If I was skillful with some of those graphics software programs, I would drop her picture into one of them and colour her skin darker, because my friend’s girl is brown-skinned, and then I would confirm just how much she and Nikita look like each other. I am not going to mention it to him though. I am not sure how he would take me telling him his woman looks like a porn star.

Guys, let me ask you a question. If you were to meet Nikita Denise and she had given up being a porn star a few years ago, could you date her? Lets say you were sure she didn’t have VD or HIV / AIDS. Could you date her? I mean really date her, ie. for more than a weekend, mind you! Could you?

“Identity” - I know I’ve been in similar situations…

Posted in Interesting Stuff, Thoughtful on March 11th, 2007 by Mad Bull

Just so you know, this is a very serious post.

We live behind God’s back, which is an expression that really means, it takes us forever and a day, to just get home with the trains, and those are the fastest ways home. Only in New York, would highways be bumper to bumper at say, oh, five in the morning. I would know, I’ve been through it, many times. Recently, well not so recently, but the last time that I remember a subway story, I was buying, Tic-Tac’s from one of those newsstands. Typically, the owner or the manager is almost always Indian, or some sort of ethnic looking Indian.

“How much?” I said.

“Seventy five dollars,” he said in a thick desi accent.

Not even phased by his comment, I took out a dollar, “Here you go.”

He started laughing, “Seventy five dollars.”

I said, “Uh huh.”

This apparently is the time where I know the typical is going to happen.

“Where you from?”

I popped the pill like mint into my mouth, as I waited for my change, I contemplated answering him, but it always leaves me confused. “Umm…” I said and then smiled, “New York?”

“No, originally, where you from?”
“You Bengali, I know you Bengali from anywhere.” He said.

I didn’t know what to say, I’m always left confused by this question and I don’t think it needs to be so laborious. And I snapped in my head, “Why can’t I just buy damn mints in peace that be bombarded with identity questions.

“Uh huh,” I said as I collected my change.

“Can I get the New York Times please?”

“Where?”

I pretended to not address his question fully, and…

The above was posted by Monologist, I think…

This picture was taken by MBJr. somewhere between Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac. He took it with my camera, so it qualifies for the Photo Project! Are you feeling all up in the clouds? I know I am… NOT! No way, sah! Just went back to work and have several things to work on! Pressure!

I am not going to dig deep into the recesses of my mind for the post of all posts tonight. I don’t have the energy. I will just link you to interesting reading elsewhere, seen.
The first: We live in a world where sex has become estranged from intimacy, passion and love.

The second : “When yu dash weh a police bwoy life, it means say yu is a dog-hearted killa and nobody caan gi yu nuh chat again!”

The third : Africa does not exist in their minds as a continent home to 47 countries or 53, if you include the islands off the coast. Most of them couldn’t even name five!

Three is a good number. I am going to leave it right here… Gooders Gyal and Claude, respeck. I like when I see my Yardie bredrens writing interesting, hype stuff. Big up!

What People are Talking About in England (and India too)

Posted in Interesting Stuff, Thoughtful on January 22nd, 2007 by Mad Bull

I first heard of it on Z99, on their morning program, the Breakfast Buzz. They have this English woman on the Breakfast Buzz and she was commenting about the issue with Celebrity Big Brother and Silpa Shetty.

Apparently Big Brother is something like MTV’s Real World, where they stick a bunch of people from different places, with different lifestyles, values and desires together in a house where they have to live together for some long period of time. Why in the world anyone would find such a program of interest is sort’ve beyond me, but shows of this nature have been around for some time now, so I guess people do indeed enjoy them.

Now Celebrity Big Brother is the same thing as Big Brother, but the people on Celebrity Big Brother are people who have some claim to fame, and I guess they are trying to jumpstart their career again by going on the Celebrity Big Brother show. Anyway, in Celebrity Big Brother, one of the people in the house was Silpa Shetty, a famous Bollywood star. See her picture here:

Apparently some of the white English women who were also on the program were abusing Silpa. They taunted her about whether she lived in a hut, treated her rather badly, called her a dog, wouldn’t eat any food that she had touched, etc. Also it seems like they were ganging up on her, they reduced her to tears several times. Their behaviour seems to have created a storm of protest and the whole thing became an international incident, even involving the British Prime Minister and the Indian Prime Minister!

I did a quick search on Youtube myself, I found a couple of clips, you could give them a look see for yourself if you are that way inclined. Here is one clip, here is another, and here is a third. There are a whole lot more where these clips came from too.

The woman on Z99 said that when she watched the clips on Youtube, she felt most ashamed of the behaviour of the English women. I read at the Chief Lymer’s blog that “there has been a record number of complaints – 7,600 - from the public as the taunts have been racist in nature. Channel 4 where the programme is aired, has received a further 2,000 e-mails and calls.”. The woman from Z99 also said that Silpa said (in the Diary Room) that she didn’t think that the whole thing was really caused by racism. Personally, I think Silpa is just very non-confrontational, thats why she said that. It seems to me that lots of Indians are too non-confrontational, based upon those I have met and worked with here in Cayman and in Jamaica. What I would really have liked to see was Silpa losing it and punching a couple of the English women in the face! After all, what I saw on those clips looks like it could all have been sorted with a few well placed kicks and thumps! (Mark you, Silpa would’ve had to have been a rough customer, because she was outnumbered and I am sure that those girls would have ganged up on her). Anyway, Silpa comes across as being WAY too ladylike for that sort of thing.

The Chief Lymer has written an interesting little post on the subject, y’all should go read it, it gives you her impression on the state of racism in England (and she dehdeh ah experience it daily so she qualified to talk)and what she has drawn from this whole incident. It makes interesting reading.

There were other posts at Mad Bull’s Blog and at El Toro Loco, so go give those sites a check too. TTYL.

Driver’s Ed Coming to Schools

Posted in Thoughtful on January 8th, 2007 by Mad Bull

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

The recent deaths of two more teenage drivers on Cayman’s roads have spurred Minister of Education Alden McLaughlin to decide to make Driver’s Education mandatory in public schools.

“Driver’s Ed is going to be part of the curriculum at government schools,” he said at the Cabinet press briefing Friday.

“It will happen,” he added later.

Mr. McLaughlin said he made the decision over the Christmas holidays after he delivered the obituaries for two young teenage males killed on the roads last month.

“That affected me,” he said, adding that he is often called on to deliver obituaries, but that when he does it for young people, it “tears me up.”

The exact details of the plan have yet to be worked out.

“Conceptually, what we have in mind is Year 11 students would take the course,” said Mr. McLaughlin.

Fourteen people died in traffic accidents on Cayman’s roads in 2006, most of them teenagers.

The above was taken from today’s Cayman Compass. I do hope this works because is one yute I have and I have been worrying about when his turn to take to the road as a driver comes… I don’t want anything to happen to him at all. smily

At least they’re trying something.

They need to come up with some ideas to combat increasing road fatalities over in Jamaica too.
