Ms. World is on!
I read in the Jamaica Gleaner that Amina Lawal has said that the Ms. World contestants should not boycott the competition, as their actions will not help her cause. Based upon what I read, I agree with her. She said that this attempt at forcing the hand of the Sharia court may well only firm their resolve! When faced with opposition, the judges may well only get their backs up and feel they must not be seen to be bowing to pressure.
She's right. I'm sure that court is full of pure "small hood man"! (men who're lacking in security (due to the small size of their penis)). They will want to display their power to all and sundry, and so may feel that they have been embarrassed if they back down from their original sentence.
What a terrible state of affairs. I really hope she gets off. She will be in my prayers, and she should be in yours too...
At least I won't feel bad about watching the competition on TV...

Right now, I can't linger as I have a very ill patient, I was out at the hospital till well after midnight last night doing what I could to help her. The battle for life continues for her as tings nuh look too ready bredren. Nuff problems....
