There Can Be Only One!

I know I was saying that I consider old age to be something of a curse recently, but suppose you could live forever... Think of the Highlander series on television. Awesome! I used to love that show... In fact, those shows had a profound impact on my life.

When I just got married to Natty, we used to lie down in bed and switch the channel on the T.V. to USA. We'd watch Wings (man, that has got to be one of my favorite shows of all time), and then after the two repeats of Wings, they'd bring on either Highlander or this other show that had this guy who used to travel back and forth in time, trying to correct stuff that had happened and thus changing history. That too was an enjoyable show, but Highlander was the shot! You see, I got addicted to the show, and since it started at midnight, I was always going to bed either at 12:30AM or later. Because of that show, I've gotten into the awful habit of going to work late. It is a habit I must break soon but anyway, thats the subject of another post... But I digress.

Imagine being able to live forever, or at least until a better swordsman came ant took your head off. Imagine being the same age forever. Depending on when you first died, that could be awesomely cool! Imagine first dying at about twenty six... then a few hours later, waking up and learning that you were IMMORTAL!!! (I'm hearing the theme song for the show in my head now... I am immortal... I have inside me the blood of kings... I have no rival... No man can be my EQUAL!!! ) And you'd stay twenty six forever... Awesome!

And then there was the martial arts... and the sword fighting, OMG!!! I love watching swordfighting... I don't think I'd like doing it though... I think I'd probably prefer being shot to being run through with a sword... The martial arts and the swordplay were awesome to watch. So much grace... it was like ballet.

I wish I could be Duncan McLeod! Oh man... Are there any shows that really get to you like that too. There are a couple of other pictures for your viewing pleasure, click the link below to see them...

Oh, so you've both turned against me? Ok. I should have expected it. There can be only ONE! I'm going to have to hunt you both down, and when I find you, its off with your heads!
