Uh Oh!
I used to read a lot of Archie comics. How about you? Remember when they used to have fairs and stuff like that and they would have a kissing booth? You know, a girl would be in the booth and you could pay her for a kiss? Invariably, Betty used to be the girl in the booth, as I recall it. Do you recall a single time where Veronica was in the kissing booth? And usually, when Betty was in the kissing booth, who'd stumble across her but Archie. He'd ante up his money and be kissing Betty a good one when Veronica would happen upon them. Then all hell would break loose, and Archie would leave Betty high and dry. Remember?
Anyway, it seems to me that women who are selected to go into these booths must be someone deemed to be desirable, nuh true?
Why am I talking about this? Because I read an article that brought it to mind... You know how sometimes they have competitions on the radio, with the prize being lunch with some popular person? Well, thats kind of like the kissing booth, innit? The person with whom the winner will have lunch has to be someone desirable, famous, powerful... some reason for you to want to go to lunch with the person has to be there, nuh true? Thats what brought it to mind.
Get this! Denis Leary was an auctioneer at an auction set up to raise funds for New York Firefighters, and he offered a lunch date with Liz Hurley to be bid upon. Sounds pretty reasonable, don't you think? Well, he did not get a single bid! 
Hmph! She suppose to feel Effed-UP, Iya!
To rub salt into the wound, guess what? Someone bid 9000 pounds to play golf with her ex, Hugh Grant! Talk about most embarrassing moments, huh? Bwoy, I used to think Betty Cooper had it bad, but I guess poor Liz takes the prize...

That's astounding that NOBODY bid on lunch with her. At fundraisers like this usually everything is bid on, even iffy stuff. I wonder if a low bid would have been just as insulting.
