4 Months?! WTF?!
Last night, I slept in MBJr's bed... no, Natty and I are not on the warpath! MBJr. watched this movie (something about a little shop of horrors) and since then, the little man has been living in fear! He can't stay in a room by himself, he can't go to use the bathroom by himself, and of course, he can't sleep by himself!
Now, I understand that he has been traumatised by this movie, you done know! The problem is that he is now too big for the three of us (him, Natty and I) to sleep in the same bed! It just can't work! It is as uncomfortable as ra$$! Cho, man!
Anyway, I woke up at 2:30am and couldn't go back to sleep for awhile. I was not too pleased about it, but I did a bit of surfing, and I came across this little tidbit!
Renee Zellweger nuh get married to some guy in the Virgin Islands! They were quite happy about the marriage down there, as they feel it will give them some good publicity as a tourist destination, but check this out! Renee and this guy (who seems to be a country music singer) got married after a four month courtship! What is wrong with these movie stars/singers though, eeeh? What, is she in Bridget Jones-mode in real life too? Dem nuh know say this marriage thing is a serious something? I know this sort of thing is just another little thrill for them, but what is it about their type of lifestyle that makes them all seem to live so fast and loose, can anyone tell me?
I also read about some asshole calling in a bomb threat on BWIA! What the rass the Caribbean coming to, eeh? Apparently the police have held the man who made the call... Now I would like them to hand a man like that over to people like me... yeah, I know I am always chatting about human rights, but a man who is talking about bombing one of fi we planes? Yow, if they were to make me get a hold of him, its not only the U.S. would be in the news for torturing people, I can assure you!
Anyway, me gone again... as you might recognise, I need to hol' a decent sleep tonite, rasta.... Hey, you sleep good too, you hear... I hope that if I dream that I get my hands on the bomb threat bastard, the screams won't wake you all up!
Nite nite!

Re MBJr. and the horror movies....careful what you let him watch. I had a bad dream as a child about a red monster coming out of a closet to eat me. I had to sleep with a night light for years, and is not until in my late teens that I could sleep in a room with a closet door open. Fear is a rass of a ting rude bwoy. Look after your son and my Godson. Awoah! Sleep good.

Wa mek yu neva answa yu cell phone? I tried to call you tonight - about 10pm or thereabouts to check on your plans for Chicago asd i'm trying to coordinate the flights. Piete and hi wifey are seriously thinking of going and will confirm with me tomorrow. If you are going, will you fly through here? I'll try to call you tomorrow.
As for your comment above Doc - you don't know who Renee Zellwiger is?????
Did you see Jerry Macguire; Nurse Betty; Bridget Jones Diary; Cold Mountain or Chicago?
Asfor the Red Monster story... weren't you like 19 plus and still asking for a nite lite???
Couldn't resist...
I actually had many a bad dream as a result of a horror movie (my favorite kind
) and can remember sharing poor Mom and Dad's bed many a night at Ridgefield Ave - really unfair when you consider that they would never have let me watch the scary movie in the first place, oh no, we have the older sibs to thank for that!!!
The one that really stands out for me though was The Excorcist - I agree with the Doc, careful what he watches as some of these traumas stay with you for a longer time than we realise...

Hi Mad Bull-Hope you got some well needed sleep. I have two cousins that got engaged after 2 and 3 months of dating and they're married going on close to twenty years. I hope MBJr gets over his fear. Doan watch horror movies at all. Started to watch Darkness and couldn't do it. Seven, I have never seen The Exorcist and don't intend to. I'm too much of a coward.
Hsave a great day.

Hiya! Ta for swinging by my place. (Blogspot seizure still in full swing.)
Are you kidding? Four months is like 6 years in dog er celeb years.
As for scary movies. I was 5 and Hitchcock's "The Birds" did a right number on me. For years I was convinced that our fine feathered friends were out to get me.

I would actually probably not have gone into the room with him, cause then he wouldnt learn how to conquer his fears.
but then again, I'm not a parent, so maybe a talking foolishness.
Nothing wrong with a four month courtship. I would get married to somebody after one month.
