MB's Torture Policy
Yeah, so I logged on and got into IM because I was looking to hol' a chat wit' a bredrin. In some errant mouse clicking, I happened upon a news story at MSN.
Bush, McCain reach torture dealNow talk the truth, isn't that a wicked headline? Doesn't it pique your interest?
"Torture deal? What kind of 'deal' could they have about torture?", I asked myself. And yeah, I clicked the link.
What do you make of it? It sounds to me like Bush was initially for turning a blind eye to torture once it got intelligence he could use. Are you horrified yet?
Of course, there is more...
Given what you have read in the article I linked, what do you think Bush was into?
More than that, though, what do you think about the issue? I am going to be honest. If I had a little fassyhole under lockup and I thought he could give me information that would allow me to get back my wife and son who were being held hostage by terrorists or kidnappers or whatever, I think I would torture the fassy. If I was convinced he knew! I don't know how wicked I would get, but I am sure I would try it. I would back out a dull razor and some skotch bonnet pepper yes! I am sure many of you would too.
And if you then extend this to all your countrymen, or even a reasonable quantity of them... 200 or 2000 or so? And you felt that the info this fassy was hiding would certainly keep those 2000 people alive?! The fassy would have to give that info up to me, rasta!
Normally I would have to bash Bush, but on this one, I am a bit hesitant, because I believe I know how I would react given the situation I described above. If I can feel that way for just two people, imagine how a man who is responsible for 260 million is going to feel!
What do you think?
Updated : Yow, check out this dawta yahso! She has a really nice smile, nuh true? One of the prettier Cayman Net News 'Person of the Day' people, IMHO!
A couple of days ago, I read a comment by Jdid on sumady's blog where he said that he wasn't in the Christmas spirit yet and that his mind was taken up with other things right now, and I got a vibe like the man needed a little present to sort of put him in the right mindset and take his mind off of his troubles a likkle bit.
Jdid, this one's for you, mi breddah... cheer up! Hope you haven't seen it before...
Yes, and since World Cup fever is in the air right about now, and since Ronaldinho is the Footballer of the Year (Was that just European, or World Footballer of ther Year?), check out this little video... Bwoy, if this is the kind of form that Ronaldinho is in, I am bringing Brazil to win the World Cup, Rasta!

Really? Well, to me, the simplest one is really easy, all you haffi do is say what you think about the torture issue? Can you imagine a scenario where you might torture someone? Or are you so perfect, that you can say that in no circumstance would you torture anyone.

I can't rule it out but would use moderation.Lol torture and moderation doh sound right but I would draw the line on things like pulling out toenails etc

Well, I am somewhat of a softie myself, ie. I don't think I could pull toenails either. Still, if I was in that situation, who knows. Put in some rearplugs to block the blood curdling screams and VOILA!!! Bull the Torturer!

LOVE that headline! Just realised from your Blogger profile that you read Wilbur Smith as well. Wonder if it's his egyptian stuff or the other novels. Laters.

US and their policies are just ment to oppress the rest of the world and exploit it.
As for their torture, I think it's inhumane. They are allowed to do it, but I think they take things to an extreme where that is concerned. And I think dem just enjoy oppressing people.
That video was damn funny yow!
