Chat 'Bout.
In recent times, I have stayed away from the New Year's resolution thing, after all, New Years resolutions are typically made just to be broken, am I right? Don't get me wrong, there are a number of things that I hope to achieve this year, but I haven't elevated (or should that be relegated) these goals to the level of resolutions... after all, I plan to achieve these goals! Making them resolutions would almost doom them to failure, you know? I didn't want to trivialise them that way.
For the most part, I won't be sharing my goals here, at least, not until they are attained, or until my path to attaining them becomes more clear and certain. I have decided to share one with you all though. This weekend gone was a bit challenging still, my time was distributed very thinly. The reason for this was that I had promised to do things for several people with an end result that I had no time for my own family or myself! Yes, star, people asked me to do this or to do that and me being the nice guy that I am, I immediately answered with a yes, to my detriment. When I stopped to think about it, I realised that this kind of thing happens to me all the time!
This year, I plan to do things differently. Want to see what I'm going to do? Click the link then.
This year, I plan to do things differently. When people ask me for any favour, I am going to tell them, "I will have to let you know on that one.". Then, when the time rolls around, I can see if its convenient for me to do the person the favour and let them know. This way, I will have more time for me, and I will not let people down because I have overextended myself. As of today, this shall be the golden rule, and I do mean any favour! Even if its Halle Berry calling on the phone to beg me to 'come water her garden', she will be getting the same answer... awoah!
I came across an interesting news item today and thought I'd share it with you... it was about a mouse getting his revenge on the man who killed him. Imagine, the man threw this mouse he had caught inside his house into a fire (wicked, innit?) and the poor flame-engulfed little rodent ran back into the man's house and set it afire. The man's house was burned to the ground! I guess the mouse never heard that revenge was a dish best supped cold, huh?
Natty and I rented the DVD "Forty Year Old Virgin" and we just finished watching it and it gets two thumbs up from us! Cho, I will go further... two thumbs and two big toes up! The movie is BAD! Feeling a bit down/sad? Thats the movie for you! Its a barrel of laughs, and you don't have to waste time with customs officers clearing it either. Go ye to your nearest DVD store and rent it now!

Hi Mad Bull-it's cause you're such a nice guy why you can't say no or find it difficult to say no. Will check out Forty Year Old Virgin. Wasn't too sure about renting that one.

That sounds like a good and very achievable resolution. My my, the mouse haunting from the grave, that's scary. THe 40 Year Old Virgin was a riot! I gave it a very enthusiastic 2 thumbs up myself. Have you watched Fun With Dick and Jane yet? I hear this is a riot also and should be watching it tonight!

I know what you mean on the favour thing. And it seems that people take you for granted when yuh constantly helping out. I had to shed a whole lot of commitments because of being spread too thin. My family was growing up before I could see them. Priorities
