And The Question Is...

Ok, y'all... I am going to follow in the footsteps of the great one, Owen of owensoft dot com. I am just going to ask you a question. Feel free to murder my comment box with the whys and the wherefores of why you have answered the way you have. No one needs to feel like they are taking over my blog or anything, just let it all out. Trust me, its therapeutic. You'll feel better for it.

Why am I following in Owen's footsteps? Just because I wanna... haven't you ever heard that "a child shall lead them"? smily

No disrespect, Sir Owen, no disrespect... and now, the question(s)...

1) Seinfeld, the Bernie Mac Show or Sex in the City?
2) Why?

The answer my blooger friend is ...Seinfeld.
Any comparison, for whatever reason, always has Seinfeld rising to the top.

Who is the "Beauty" up top? Your better half?

Posted by: De Immigrant on February 2, 2006 11:50 PM

Sex in the City.

I'd say Seinfeld. Sex in the City is living vicariously, I prefer the first person.

Just watched Sex In The City... sort of... I had people in pony gear in the periphery while I was hacking some code, then it switched to a male sex doll and 3 women, then some nude dancers in Florida doing MacBeth, then some burlesque stuff... lost me on the last one...

What WOULD be great: Jerry Seinfeld HOSTING Sex In The City. With George. Elaine. And, of course, Kramer. Get THAT crew doing the hosting and commentary for Sex In The City, and kids would be sent to bed earlier.

You might just gave something there, Taran.
De Immigrant, Natty's picture has never graced my pages. She hasn't allowed me to put it up yet. MBJr's picture only went up after plenty of duress.

Seinfeld without a doubt.

That comedy transcends to the occurence of everyday life. Calling it the comedy about nothing so aptly described the comedy. It really shows you what goes on when a group of friends get together and talk about their likes, dislikes, peeves, what's polite and what's not and many times, they leave you thinking what you would do in the situation.

I don't miss Seinfeld on TBS, Fox and WGN. Once I'm home and cable is working, it is a must see for me. Only thing is it runs on all 3 channels sometimes at the same time so I have to choose one or flip between the 2. I absolutely love Seinfeld.

First off, TV plays a miniscule part iny life.

Of the three, I only know of two...never heard of Bernie Mac...

I have grown tired of Sex and the City...I used to watch it time gone, fairly regularly...not anymore.

That leaves Seinfeld....good show and Jerry reminds me of someone I know. Haven't seen an episode in months though.

TV...cho...

what the hell

Posted by: owen on February 3, 2006 11:33 AM

as much as i liek seinfield i have to say sex in the city. the relationship between those girls is so much like the relationship between me and my girlfriends that i can't help but to get sucked in. i wont tell you which of the four girls i am (i can't divulge my alter ego) but i do believe so many women love the show because each woman represents a piece of who they are or wish they could be....

sound like everyting cool wit you MB. been awhile but i'm back. nice to see you still keeping up the humor and interesting posts.

Bernie Mac! That show is funny!

Posted by: Stunner on February 3, 2006 03:34 PM

watched Bernie Mac but haven't seen any of the others so can't compare.

Posted by: scratchie on February 3, 2006 04:22 PM

Senifeld!!!

I watched a little of Sex In The City. I have never heard of Bernic Mac show? That may say what little TV I watch. LOVE CNN!!!

I'd like to see Adrian Monk, Dr. House and Jerry Seinfeld in an episode involving Sex in the City with George dressed as a pony, Kramer getting a body wax, and Elaine playing a nurse.

Or something.

Sex and the City

Cos it is interesting to watch the lives of four women and the way they handle the dating bizniz.I think when women watch it we can identify with at least one the characters.

I've got to go for the original 'Sex and the City' of sorts, 'The Golden Girls'. Now that I'm older, I catch sooooo much more watching the reruns of this show (kinda like with 'Are you being served?'), they couldn't show half the things Carrie and her friends do but it was still damned funny

We still debating bout buying a new tv in this house

Posted by: guyana-gyal on February 4, 2006 10:19 AM

I think if Bernie Mac was on one of the more mainstream networks, I would have seen it more, and I might have preferred it to Seinfeld. But Seinfeld takes it for me. Seinfeld's producer, Larry David has his own show called Curb your Enthusiasm, and that one is quite a riot. Larry's a genius. Bernie MAc was on the WB network, which has now been acquired by another network. Bernie Mac is still going, though, and Seinfeld is only showing reruns. Sex and the City is in a different league, I think, and would be better compared to some other shows like 6 feet under, etc.

Sex and the City for sure it about sex what more can i say

Posted by: Amelia on February 4, 2006 11:47 PM

Wow! Thanks for all the responses! Personally, I prefer Seinfeld, mainly because the characters are so zany. It makes me laugh the most, and its also the most memorable. I can remember things I have seen on a Seinfeld show forever, but I don't remember much from most Sex & the City shows. I like all three of them though. They're all good. Sir Ri, Seinfeld is in reruns only because Jerry decided to bow out while the show was on top. Personally, I think they could have had Jerry move from New York and start a new show, Kramer, with the rest of the cast, but thats just my opinion.

Can I vote "none of the above"???? And add a fourth - CSI!!!! :D

Heh - not much for half hour comedies or the like... so I will abstain on this one.

Posted by: Fyr on February 6, 2006 11:08 AM

I'd have to say Seinfeld. Bernie Mac is a close second. Though Seinfeld is the whitest sitcom EVER, it's still great.

Posted by: Leon on February 6, 2006 05:35 PM

Fyr, you know I have NEVER watched an episode of CSI! I must give it a try.
