What an Artaclapse! (What a disaster?!)
Hail up to all crew! What a gwaan? Listen nuh man, this week has been mucho hectic! We 'went live' on a new banking system last weekend and there have been a number of issues throughout the week that have kept me with my nose to the grindstone! I guess you noticed the paucity of posts (and comments on your blogs) during this week? Well, thats why! Even this weekend, I'm going in to work... not as long as last weekend, but I will be there Saturday in the afternoon, trying to resolve some issues with some interfaces developed by another... now my responsibility. Me naw complain still, because learning is taking place. So, what other suss do I have to let off pon oonoo? Well, a woman at the workplace give me a piece of her tongue tideh! (Today!) By the way, thats not meant in a good sense! Ah cuss the woman cuss me off! Of course, there is more!

Story Time Again?
Back on the story book thing. I read something about Enid Blyton recently that suggests that she was a most prolific writer indeed. I remember reading it long ago too, which may well be whay I felt that the authors of the Hardy Boys and the Nancy Drew and the Bobbsey Twins series were real people... After all, if Enid Blyton could do this, why not them? For an astonishing 80 years, Enid Blyton has been storyteller extraordinaire to generations of children. Arguably the most prolific children's writer of the last century, she has a staggering 4000 stories and some 700 books to her credit. At some stages in her life she wrote 10,000 words a day and for at least one year in the 50s she was averaging a book every 5 days. Still, after Sharon Leach's revelation on Sunday, I am beginning to wonder if that stuff about Enid is just lies! Hmmm... On the movie review scene, I saw a couple of movies recently, 'The Terminal' with Tom Hanks and Catherine Zeta Jones, and Ocean's Twelve, with lotsa people as you might expect from the name of the film, but also including Zeta Jones. First, 'The Terminal'... I enjoyed this movie immensely! Quite funny, even though I heard that its based on a true story. All I can say is this! If the real story goes even close to the movie, the character played by Tom Hanks is one crazy guy! (not psychotic or anything, but crazy nonetheless) and the Airport Administrator is almost totally EVIL! I am sure that God has a specially hot little corner of Hell waiting for the Airport Administrator's arrival. If you haven't seen it yet and you're contemplating going out to rent a movie, I would recommend that you give 'The Terminal' a try. Next, 'Ocean's Twelve'! Now I watched this movie and suffered through many interruptions from MBJr., and also Natty was constantly getting up to go do some household chore which meant pausing the film, and to top it off, the DVD player was freezing up every now and then, maybe it needs a cleaning or something, and maybe all of that factored in to forming my opinion of this movie, but I could scarcely make head or tails of what was going on in the show. At the end, I was left wondering why they bothered to make the film, because the plot seemed weak to me. I don't recommend this one, but if you watched it and felt it was great, well, maybe I'll give some thought to renting it again and trying to watch it in a distraction-free environment... NOT! No way, sah! I ent watching that again! It wasn't worth it. On a totally different topic, I noticed yesterday that the Jamaica Gleaner has started to print a section (Weird News From Around the World) that they had stopped printing in the past. Apparently there was a high demand for it (and I am not surprised at that, because people need something to laugh about, especially in stressed-out Jamaica, what with tax increases and job losses and increasing debt and the seemingly invincible scourge of crime). Anyway, I saw one item in that that I thought was really funny. The piece follows : Last month Mamadou Obotimbe Diabikile was shot by police and arrested after his unsuccessful attempt to rob the Mali Development Bank in Bamako, Mali. He was partly hindered by the nearly seven pounds of magic charms he was wearing which he believe had made himself invisible. Bwoy, if only all criminals could be as stupid as that, eeeh?

G'bye, Kiwi
Bwoy, I had fun tonight, let me tell you... You remember the guy I told you about who was asking me what I thought of the Queen's cans? Well, he has resigned. His last day is tomorrow, actually, and so the department went to Bacchus (a local bar/restaurant situated on Fort Street) to see him off! Trust me, a wikid time was had by all! Some really nice food, and to top it off, the alcohol was a flow too... I had three "Appleton and Pepsi's" myself, plus a shot of Sambuca, and imagine, I had that shot after seeing an email that was circulating at work where a guy threw back a shot of Sambuca which was still ablaze and some of the alcohol got on his cheek and his clothes and it started to burn! Bl00dc1@@t, the fire started to blaze up on his cheek, then on his clothes! At that point, he tried to spit out the liquor, and trust me, one big spurt of flame flew from his mouth! I thought he had turned into a dragon, rasta! Anyway, when I saw them light up our drinks, a wave of fear swept over me and I declared "I'm not drinking that one ra$$!". The waiter took one look at me, realised I was serious and doused the fire on the drinks, at which point I joined the fellas in tossing it back! Interesting drink, that Sambuca Very interesting indeed! Then while I was there, I had some Snapper fish... pan fried, and encrusted with plantains, rasta! MMM... MMMM... MMMM! Murder commit! Di food good, you see Iyah! Phew! Listen nuh, I had a good time, and I want the bredrin from work to just stay on for another month! He is a truly valuable resource to the bank, so I am sure he could wangle another dinner like that next time he is leaving. Ok, ok, ok, I'm not sure it would fly, but why not try it, you know, especially since they do say nothing beats a trial but a failure, you done know! Hey, I saw an amusing anecdote in the Sunday Gleaner! Orville W. Taylor pointed out in his article that "all humans are classified as apes and share 99% of their DNA with chimpanzees, who apparently have much more in common genetically with humans than with gorillas! He goes on to say that animals that are further apart, for instance the zebra and the donkey have been successfully mated. He then advises that you don't try to see if humans and chimps can have kids, because the average chimp is three times stronger than Arnold Schwarzenegger, and might very well snap your spine in two while in the throes of ecstasy! Now, that does sound like some solid advice, don't you? Anyway, its getting late! If I want this post to have tonight's date on it, I'd better sign off now, huh? Me gone!

Who Da Thunk It?
Hey, were any of you like me as a kid? I mean, did you cut your eyeteeth reading books like the Bobbsey Twins, Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys? I'm sure you must've. How many did you read? I know that I read quite a few of each of those , though probably less of the Nancy Drew series than of the other two... Probably you all didn't read that many of them though... Perhaps you might not have read than 25 of them in all, I don't know, I'm just plucking a number out of the air. What I am sure of is that none of you read all of any one of those series of books. Did you know that there are far more than 25 of each of those series of books? I don't know what the total number of each of them was/is, but it is plenty! Now ostensibly, those books had one author. For instance, the Nancy Drew books were supposed to have been written by a woman by the name of Carolyn Keene. Have you ever given any thought to how one woman could have written so many books? The same goes for the Hardy Boys series and the Bobbsey twins too? The post continues, so click the link below if you like...

Some Changes
You know you're growing up when you start to evaluate the things you are doing and making changes, nuh true? Anyway, I have been thinking about making this particular change for awhile, and today is the day. The 'Natural Beauty' section of the blog is gone! Actually, its not yet fully gone. The section with the random links to the 'Natural Beauty' posts is gone. The posts themselves will be deleted over the coming week or two. Porn is not a good thing, people. Since I do know that, I will be making some changes. What brought this on? Well, as I said, I have been thinking about doing this for awhile, but the clincher was this article (found via Girls in the Bag). Not everyone has as strong a libido as I do, and I don't want to have any part in hurting other people's relationships, you done know! ... What? You don't understand what I am saying? Well, did you read the article I linked? No? Well, taking something from all the software forums I've ever visited, RTFA (Read the fucking article ) Now this doesn't mean that you will never see ladies pictures on this site again! Oh no! You just won't be seeing any that can be classed as pornography. As an affirmation of that, let me link you to some photos of a young miss who seems to be bussing out on the modelling scene here in Grand Cayman. Natty saw her pictures in the Cayman Net News and said to me, "I think this girl is pretty.". "Well, I'll post a link to them on the site and say that you think so.", I replied. Actually, I think shes pretty too. Check her out, y'all... Update @ 17:54 : Check this out too... Carla Campbell has been selected by Models.com as one of the top 25 sexiest models in the world! Congrats to her, nuh true? I have posted a picture of her on this site somewhere before, heres another someone else has posted and Models.com has a picture, though their picture is kind of dark still... click here if you want to go check theirs out... BTW, guess whos on the cover of SheCaribbean magazine as I write this?

Water Woes
Rastafari! Is so we wicked here in Cayman? It raining plenty back in Jamaica, so much so that even hail was dropping from the sky! Freak storms, unconfirmed reports of flooding! And yet, over here, not more than an hour away, its dry as a chip! We need some good rain so the place can green up, man!

Friday Foolishness
You know what I need? I need a car like the one that Queen Latifah drove in the movie 'Taxi'! Now I don't mean the same model car, just a car that can change its appearance in seconds.... one minute, it looks like a nice-looking, family type Accord, and at the press of a button it morphs! A rear spoiler appears, the license plate number changes, it gets a tint, an air scoop appears and the engine sounds just get amplified and sound deep and throaty! Know why I want it to morph like that? Sometimes a mad spirit just takes me and I want to do all kind of mad, illegal things on the road! Pedal to the metal, baby! Problem with that is, this place is just kind of small, you know! Also, people will tend to remember your car, your license plate number and so on, and even if no cops were about, you find that you get into problems.... oh well, I guess I'll just have to toe the line, won't I? No problemo, homey... Hey, remember I barely missed having to work all weekend last week? Well, today is Friday for some of you, but for me it is more like Wednesday, because I will be going to work this Saturday and Sunday! At least this week I am mentally prepared for the weekend to come. I think I might even enjoy it. As such, I don't feel bad mind and grudgeful towards the rest of oonoo who will be lazing around at home, or on the beaches, or whereever you take your weekly R&R. I am bigger than that, yo! Therefore say I unto you, "Go ye forth and have fun this weekend! TGIF!". Oh yeah, take a little time out to visit your obeah men to work a little science for the West Indies, bwoy! Looks like they are gonna need it!

Much Ado About Nothing
The European Union is undoubtedly a good thing for Europe, and IMHO, it will eventually lead to a more balanced world, where there is more than one superpower, so I believe it will be a good thing for the entire world! We should all pray that nothing impedes its formation. At the same time, sometimes an individual country has to give up a lot to become a part of the whole, and sometimes for very stupid reasons! Why do I say this? Well, I was reading a column by Tony Deyal and from what I gathered, it seems that some Euro Commissioners are on a quest to smooth things out between the sexes and all races across Europe and an 'important' part of the campaign is to force individual countries to change the names of places which may be considered as offensive to one sex or the other, or to members of a minority race. They plan to start imposing the name changes in Scotland, apparently, and are looking to have the names of towns like Motherwell, Blackburn, Helensburgh, Fort William, Campbeltown, Peterhead, Lewis and Fraserburgh changed! I'm sorry, I don't see anything wrong with those names, and only a fool would be offended by them, and I think that this part of the plan is a monumental waste of time. I hope the Scots can find some way to tell the Euro commissioners to sod off and not end up being barred from the Union. Anyway, Tony Deyal takes a humorous look at many of the names of many places in Europe, and you might very well enjoy reading his article. Gwaan go do it nuh? By the way, Tony Deyal gave an amusing joke in his piece, and I will reprint it here on the grounds that he is probably reprinting it himself. Mr. Deyal, I apologise if you were the one to come up with the joke and you feel away that I reprinted it, but really, jokes should be free to be told to anyone by anyone in my opinion... If you do get wind of all this, I hope you agree with me, sir. A few years ago, a plane was shot down over Iraq and Saddam Hussein captured a Scotsman, an Englishman and an Australian. Saddam said to them, "I'm not as cruel as George Bush says I am. Here's the deal. You will each be given 50 lashes, but you can have whatever you want on your back." The Australian went first and asked for the finest kangaroo hide to cover his back.He got it, got his 50 lashes, and though his back was bloody from the beating, he survived. The Englishman, perhaps having watched the River Kwai movie too often, was adamant. "I will not dignify your tyranny," he said defiantly, his shoulders straight, his bearing military. "I will have nothing on my back." He got what he asked for and the aftermath was horrible to behold. Torn, bleeding, ribs fractured, somehow he survived. Then, it was the Scotsman's turn and the sadistic Saddam said, "You have the same choice. What would you like on your back." Unhesitatingly, the Scotsman said, "I'll have the Englishman." Well, I hope you liked it, I thought it was pretty decent! Hey, now that I am thinking about it, that joke may be considered inappropriate because it might offend Iraqis, Englishmen and maybe even Scots... I wonder if we should petition the newspapers to force Tony to remove the joke from his piece?

Rituals: Smoke, Mirrors, Noise and such...
White smoke billowed from the chimney at the Sistine Chapel, and, in case the faithful had mistakenly formed the opinion that the cardinals were merely frying up some escoveitched fish and bammy, bells began to peal! The thousands watching broke into thunderous applause and a roar of jubilation! So, what does all this mean? Well, I sense that plenty of people in Italy right now need something more to occupy their time... Apparently it also meant that a new pope had been chosen! Anyway, the new pope is a German. Many were talking of a new black pope, but I suspected that wouldn't come to pass after all. Looks like I was right. You know, this pope selection business is very ritualistic. Members of a group gathering to select someone from among themselves for something... the use of smoke and some kind of noise as a part of the ceremony... Yes, indeed! I have seen similar rituals back home. As an example, when I was a real walk-foot teenager, I used to walk through the Constant Spring Golf Course all the time as I went to play Badmington or hang out by the golf club with all the other teenagers. Halfway along the strip of the golf course between Olivier Road and the club house, there was a huge mango tree where the caddies rested in between caddying assignments and where was situated an illegal 'betting shop'. Should you happen to pass this spot on a Wednesday or Saturday afternoon, the sight of billowing clouds of white ganja smoke and loud reggae music, and lots of men glancing down at their "weights" sheet would signify that the punters had gathered to select a horse in an upcoming race to waste their money on. On the other hand, billowing clouds of white ganja smoke and a voice emanating from the radio giving details on how the race was progressing or proclaiming the results of the race and how much each of the first four horses had paid would signify that the gathered crowd of people was about to select from among themselves who, if any, was a lucky winner. See what I mean? Yessir, I know all about ritualistic use of smoke and music! As an exercise, can any of you come up with any other examples? Let me take this opportunity to wish the new Pope every success during his reign! May your new job prove interesting, boss!

He is Missed.
Today just happens to be the second anniversary of my father's death. I would have written a little something about it earlier, but my internet connection was down all day. Anyway, I did a little thing and the connection is now up again so that at least is good... In the interim though, my sister Ciya wrote something herself, and I think she did a great job. She wrote about something she remembered my Dad doing all the time, and it brought him right back to me. Ciya seems to have a knack at doing this, because she has done the very same thing more than once before, and at least one of those times was just recently too.... There isn't any need for me to add anything to what she has said. I will just link you to what she wrote. Go check it out nuh.

A Couple of Reviews
T.O.K. Did Tuff
So, what can I tell you re the TOK Concert last night? Well, when I got there, they were going on with a "Night at the Apollo" type thing, where they ran through a bunch of local artistes and wanna-be artistes, and if the artistes weren't vibesing up the crowd right, they would have to come off the stage, and if they were vibesing up the crowd, they were allowed to stay for awhile. That was mostly boring, though the emcee who ran people off the stage was quite funny. Anyway, when TOK came, you could definitely feel the vibes pick up. They hit the stage almost immediately and they put on a good show! There were a couple of problems. The sound system was fucked up! Only one microphone sounded really good, and so they had to be switching it around between themselves a lot. That did impair the show somewhat, but it was still good. The next problem was that TOK didn't stay up there very long at all. Some of the people were saying that they didn't have anymore songs, but I can think of at least one or two good ones that they put out that I didn't hear. I doh know whats up with that, but like a lot of people, I felt like I hadn't got my money's worth when TOK signed off. Ah so it go still... All in all, I much preferred it to the Barrington Levy concert, despite the much larger number of hits that Barrington Levy had to draw on. I guess whatI am saying is, if you like reggae, or if you like TOK's music and they are in your area, gwaan go buy your ticket! You won't be sorry! Mad Bull say so!
Coupla Movies
Its been quite a while since I told you about any movies I watched... Recently I watched 'Finding Neverland' and 'There is Something About Polly'. At first I didn't like "Finding Neverland" but it grew on me, bigtime! People, the movie made me bawl! It sad, but I am really glad I watched it. Mad Bull say oonoo fi run out and rent the DVD, Iyah! "Along Came Polly" is an older movie, but I just saw it. I am therefore going to review it anyway. If you saw it already, feel free to add your comments. If not, well, I thought this to be an excellent movie! Very funny! If its a romantic comedy you want and you haven't seen this movie yet, rent the DVD, Iyah!
I also watched 'Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason' recently... well, it wasn't my kind of show, people... in no time at all, I abandoned it and started to surf the 'net, so you done know...
Anyway, I don't have nothing more to tell you about, so... hasta la vista, baybee!

The Weekend Is Welcome!
Well, the go-live at work has been postponed until next week, so this weekend is on again! Wheee! Yeah, so next weekend I'll have the "cut-over weekend blues" all over again, but until then, PARTY, RASTA!!! Hey, oonoo know the Military Riddim? Yeah, yeah, its been around from late last year apparently, but one of my co-workers had a number of MP3s on his PC playing with "Cycle" set on and a number of the songs are on the "Military Riddim". The song playing is by Sizzla, its "I'm with the girlz", and its on the Military Riddim. Wasn't a bad way to pass a work-day still, bouncing to reggae while putting on the work. Puts one in a "Friday" frame of mind, you done know! Hey, guess who's in on the island for a concert tonite? Nuh T.O.K, star! I wonder if M'Buthelezi can babysit with MBJr.? Hmmm... anyway, whether or not she can babysit, I will endeavour to have one irie weekend and I suggest you do the same! Virtual beers for everyone! TGIF! UPDATED @ 11:20am Saturday... Ok, I know that some people hate when they go to a webpage and music just bursts forth at them. They prefer having a choice as to whether they want to listen to the music or not. To these people I say "Kiss my ass!" No, I'm just kidding... I just wanted to show you that smiley! I totally respect their wish for a choice. I put the music up like that to celebrate Friday and a free weekend. Friday is some 11 hours past now though, so I'm going back to a choice driven site, you simi. If you want to hear the "Military Riddim", click the link below. Ra$$pect!

What a Gwaan...
Bwoy, I've been scouring the web for something of interest to inspire a post, but I have not succeeded.... nothing grabbed me. As a result, tonight I will just have to share with you all a few of my thoughts, and you won't have to pay one red cent fah! How I'm feeling... I guess I'm in a weird mood, maybe even a little bit down, because I know that this weekend coming up will be no real weekend at all for me! We are supposed to go live at work on the new system over this weekend, and while I know how important it is that we get the job done and all, I'm just not feeling the 'work-all-weekend' vibe flowing, if you know what I mean?! Ah bwoy, ah so life go sometimes still. Maybe I will be able to fit in a bit of fun still though. (Click the link below to continue...)

Who's the Saint?
So, I read in the Caymanian Compass that they are considering sainthood for the Pope? I wonder what they would call him then? Bear in mind, his real name wasn't John Paul II, you know... Would he be Saint John Paul II, or would he be Saint Karol Wojtyla? Well, probably not Saint Karol Wojtyla, because who ever heard of a Saint with a last name, know what I mean? Anyway, which do you think it'll be, Saint Karol or St. John Paul II? I'm not going to get into whether he deserves the sainthood or not, because I don't know enough about him and what he did, but I can sure think of some other people who should be conferred the title of saint! If I had the power to influence the Cardinals or the Popes or whoever oversees adding people to the list of Saints, I'd suggest Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Mother Theresa, and Nelson Mandela, but then, I doubt that all these people were Catholic. I know Mother Theresa was, and that they are working towards conferring sainthood on her, but I am sure some of the others aren't catholics at all... I wonder if you have to be a catholic to be a saint? I bet you do... I don't know about you, but I think that they shouldn't bother with that rule, because it will mean that they end up excluding some really good people. What with the current fashion of trying to be all-inclusive with everything, people might also feel that excluding non-catholics from the position sounds discriminatory, don't you think? While searching for the Pope's real name I came across this post where a person saw fit to mark the pope's passing with a poem... Actually the poem wasn't all that hot IMHO, but the first part was funny... It starts out like this... They say that deaths are like waves, they always come in three’s. Yesterday we sent Shiavo to that big hospice in the sky, and today, if everything goes as planned, Pope John Paul The II will be final (his death hasn’t been confirmed at the time I’m writing this). Who’s next? I’d like to request Paris Hilton…God, if your listening? By the way, making mention of Mandela earlier brought to mind the current Test match between the West Indies and South Africa. I just went to check what was going on in that game and apparently its all over but for the shouting... When I checked, South Africa had lost only two batsmen and they needed only fourteen runs to win... You know, I am pretty sure that the people of South Africa will feel that Ntini should be made into a saint too, with his performance in the Test match... Oh well...

A FYI
You know, one of my "sometimes reads" wrote an excellent piece on the "Terry Schiavo" issue... you prolly should all go read it. To do so, click here. Note to self: start checking Sisoflexx out more often, dude! On another topic, yeah, we all know how wicked man can be to his fellow man, but sometimes you will hear/read a story that will make you marvel and you will realise that we have sunk to deeper depths... such a story is this one, which I read about at the weblog of a Trini woman, Ana... gwaan go check it out... Imagine that someone who is only four years older than my little son was being forced to sleep with big, horse-steering men for a pittance to support someone else's drug habit!!! Can you believe it? Crap like this happening in the Caribbean? You know, I am definitely thinking about siding with the PNP on the whole 'Caribbean Court of Justice' (the CCJ) issue... if we go that route, we can get back to hanging people who deserve it, and I think that everyone concerned with this story needs their necks stretched, don't you? We all have a lot of work to do, bwoy... Here is what a bredrin of mine had to say on the CCJ (amongst other things), and on our allowing our fears to conquer reason. A very well written piece, IMHO! (Click the link below to continue...)

Pimp 4 A Day
My internet connection at home is down again... I had strung the coax cable across the floor of my living room from where my TV is to where the computer is and people have been stepping on the cable all the time. I guess the current piece of cable has given up the ghost now. This time when I repair it, I want to string up this connection properly... I am going up into my ceiling with it. Until then though, I will have to be begging a connection to post. If you drop by one day and doh see a post, you know why. Hey, check out this hot bwoy nuh ladies! He is a bredrin from work! I think his mother is from Yard too, you know... So, from what you see, you like him? Heres my chance to be a pimp for a day! Any of you, my female readers, interested? I can set you up, bigtime! I won't charge too much for the setup either. If you're interested, lef' your info in the comments, yuh simi! I think Charles and Camilla look quite nice, don't you... Congratulations to them. Hey, check this out... Did you know that they have cartoons at Yahoo's? I didn't know that! For instance, there is Andy Capp. You know you've had too much to drink when... Of course, there are others too, and some of them are amusing, like Dilbert, or B.C. (I particularly like this one!) Of course, there are lots of others, take your pick. Just click here...

Just Some Stuff
Hey, hey, hey! Whats up, y'all! I have figured out how to get my screen resolution pretty much how I want it under Linux now, so that I am indifferent as to whether I browse the Internet using Linux or Windows. Now I have to get my sound card configured. Not tonight though, I'm not that gung ho! As you can see by the 'Upcoming Events' window over there on the right, tomorrow is Diego's birthday! I haven't seen Diego in what seems like centuries, though is just since sometime last year or at the longest, sometime in the last quarter of 2002. That, my peeps is too long! I also haven't seen the lovely P-G (his par amour) since then either. Its so sad how families become split up nowadays, nuh true? Anyway, in case Diego drops by tomorrow, let me leave a short word for him here... Diego, rest assured, I miss you, man! Natty and I am going to have to make the effort to see you and P-G this year, lets hope that it does come off! I want to wish you a very happy birthday, D! (P-G, do your best to make the day for the rude yute nah! Tings you doh do fi the man since oonoo was courtin', you fi do them again!) D, may the your birthday be the epitomy of irieness and may the rest of the year be fruitful, proftable and filled with opportunities for growth in every sphere of your life! As some say back home, Rasspect! Oh, and many happy returns too, my brother! In other news, I noticed that the Observer has started to show pictures of the Miss Jamaica Universe finalists in their pages... they deserve a big-up for that, a lie? Here are the contestants shown today! Of these four ladies, I pick Miss Chavoy Gordon, and its not just because she lists her one of her hobbies as being collecting lingeree! (after all, one of my hobbies is to watch women in lingeree, and also, to watch them getting out of it!) No sir, I pick Chavoy because she looks noice! They showed another four girls on the 31 of March, but no one told me (cretins! ....) Still, I managed to find it, and thus I present it to you. Of this previous four, I chose Rosalee Shirley! What are your thoughts on the girls so far? Anyway, I think I am going to go to bed, its already late, and who knows how hectic this weekend might get. Tomorrow is Friday, people, and not a day too soon! TTY Tomorrow, seen?

Yes I, Soca time was in T&T, just done in Jamaica and will be here in Grand Cayman next month! As you might expect, all kinds of soca music have been playing on Vibe FM! Many of them are nice, and this one by Jamesy P, well, its been seeing more than its fair share of rotation, you done know... You know whats interesting? Well, its a favourite of the ladies too, it seems... I went to a little welcoming session at my office the other day (no, it wasn't held in my honour only, they had hired at least six new employees, of which I was one) and the guy spinning the music was heavily into the 'Drop Leaf' thing, (no, I wasn't spinning). After a bit the ladies started to clamour for the soca... guess which song they were bawling out for? Well, I doh rightly remember them all, but one of them was definitely Nookie! (I believe the other one was "What Happens in the Party" by the big man himself, Rupee! Anyway, we not off of the Nookie vibe yet! See a little more of the lyrics yah!
Tonite I deh pon the huntin'
All over town I am searchin'
Somehow I mus' take home something, Good Lawd!
Tonite I mus' pick a pumpkin!
(Chorus)
I looking some nookie tonite
(* pu__y, pu__y *)
I want me some nookie tonite
(* pu__y, pu__y *)
I lookin some nookie tonite
(* pu__y, pu__y *)
Jus' a likkle nookie tonite
(* pu__y, pu__y *)
I lookin a nookie
A fat sexy nookie
I lookin a nookie
One whe full of glammy
Ah lookin' a nookie
One to satisfy me
Ah lookin' a nookie
and ah doh care what it cost me
(Chorus)
Heh heeeyyy! Listen nuh, I know that some of you are feeling the vibes, yeh man, I know it. Some of you reading this are looking a nookie tonite! Well, in the spirit of the season, I am going to let off one on you, seen. Now, the picture available by clicking the link below is not really anything big still, though there are those who will bawl out that its not really for office viewing, so you decide for yourself, seen? You could probably just say your bredrin told you he had posted a picture of his girl online, that would silence them! Plus, if you click the link, you get to hear the song...

What Went On...
I took MBJr. to a kiddie party yesterday and guess who I met there? Nuh Rik Rok! Yes man, he is the guy who did "It Wasn't Me!" with Shaggy. I was going to get a shot of MBJr. and him, just like I did with Sean Paul, but MBJr. was in a bit of a miserable mood, so I didn't bother... Why was he miserable? Well, have you ever met somebody who your spirit doesn't take to? Someone who rubs you the wrong way, who gets on your every nerve, who always seems to be trying to goad you into acts of violence and mayhem? Oh, you have, haven't you? Well then, you will definitely be able to relate to MBJr. He met a guy at the party and the two of them were at daggers-drawn from the getgo! Eventually it got to the stage where they were openly sniping at each other verbally and in action as well, wanting the other kids to play with them and not their enemy, and sulking if things didn't go their way, and other things like that, and I eventually decided to leave when I felt that blows were imminent! I am not going to knock the other kid though, he seems like a nice kid, but the two of them were like a couple of dogs around a bitch in heat, Iyah! Ah so it go sometimes still. It has happened to the best of us, and even perfect l'il I-an-I have not been 100% exempt from such behavior on occasion. On another note, MBJr. and I watched "The Incredibles" last night... It were wikid, rasta! Its not just for the kiddies, it can definitely watch! Thus spake the Bull... go ye forth and rent the DVD, seen?

Whip Them, W.I.
You know, I had a sort of bad dream last night! I wrote this software package years ago with a bredrin who used to work with me in Jamaica. The software tracked funds invested in a 'special' deposit product set up by a credit union. They took deposits which they invested and paid the credit union members some pretty high rates of interest. At one time, my system was keeping track of over J$150,000,000 that the credit union members had deposited with them! They used the package for about ten years before upgrading to a single package that met all their needs, including the special deposits product they offered. Anyway, last night, I dreamed that they called me to say that the application was giving problems, and everybody's balances were out! They needed a fix, pronto. Now, in my dream, I had already moved to Cayman and was embroiled in plenty of work at my bank, and so this problem that the credit union was having was a major headache to me, so much so that I woke up at 03:00 AM. I didn't feel like going back to sleep, so I got up and surfed the 'net... What, was I surfing up some porn? Well, I am not going to say yea or nay to that, but let me say that some flesh may have been sighted! Still, in my early a.m. surfing endeavours, I came across a lot of stuff, from which I have decided to chat about these with y'all : No! People! South Africa barely miss follow on?! What is going on? Wicked, rasta! Also good news, Cable & Worthless seem to have announced that they are releasing the six players with whom they had a personal contract while an arbitrator reviews the contracts... maybe the impasse in W.I. Cricket is about to become a thing of the past! Still, how do they change up the team if it wins the first test? And imagine if they bring back the big stars and the team flops in the next game? What will happen next? Oh my gosh, I can hardly wait to find out! I also came across these interesting little tidbits... click the link below to continue nuh?

The Gunmenus.
Here are a couple more of MBJr's efforts :
I was doing my homework, just then I heard a sound. A man with a gun kicked the door open. He said " one more step forward and I will shoot the best bullet that I got!",
I was in class doing a test then a strange noise came up. It came closer, and closer and closer. It was a monster and everyone ran for their lives. His eyes werre by the door! His mouth was by the window. His other eye was by the back door. I swooped up with my jet pack and I took out my hand and swatted him in the nose (but not in the nostril) then I kicked him in the eye, then for my finale, I took out my bubble thing then all the bubbles got in his eyes and he ran home crying
I was in my jet, driving it, and then I heard a strange noise! It was a pterydactyl! It was bigger than my jet but I recognised that the pointed part of my jet could make his foot bleed! Then I jooked it into his foot and it started bleeding and I saved the day, and thats my story! Superman has saved the day by one of his smart ideas again. Join him for another episode.
So, what do I have to tell oonoo tonight... hmmm... several things, really! First, let me tell you that the honour of "Most interesting post I read today" went to Jdid. His post was about many things, but I found them all very interesting. The award for the "Funniest comment of the day" went to Solitaire, in a comment on Jdid's post. Jdid mentioned the pope, and his personal nearness to his Maker at this time. Solitaire wrote that a friend was commenting on the popes apparent frailness. Her friend said something that I found quite funny! I know that I shouldn't laugh when someone is sick unto dying, but her comment did that to me... Not that I am sure you all will find it funny, but sometimes its all about my own quirky sense of humour, I guess... Anywayz I guess the next thing I'd mention today is that I am really heartened by the performance put on by Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Wavell Hinds in the first Test match currently being played between the West Indies and South Africa at the Bourda ground in Georgetown, Guyana. All I can say is "Wow!". Apparently Shiv made 203 not out and Hinds made 213! People, we are not at our best by any means, but the West Indies is not dead! Big up to them! I read today in the Caymanian Compass that the police have a few suspects in all the recent shootings locked up. Hooray for them! They seem to be doing a good job, bwoy! Big up, RCIP! By the way, CampFyah has up some irie pictures of Venezuelan scenery, go check it out! You know, Natty received an email or something with the baby pictures of a couple of friends of ours. The baby cute, you see! Still, thats to be expected because nuff woman say the Dad is a hunk and the Mom is very pretty indeed! Anyway, the email served to bring this couple to mind. They had a bit of a different wedding, you see! You know what they did? Well, first you have to understand. It is the custom at Jamaican weddings that the people in attendance will start to bang their forks on their wine glasses making the most awful racket. This is a sign that they want the bride and the groom to buss a big kiss! It is used to torment many a couple still, who usually are both feeling frazzled and self consious, and who are NOT thinking about bussing big kisses at all! Anyway, this bride and groom decided to turn the tables on their guests. From very early they announced that THEY would be banging their glasses from time to time, when they wanted selected members of the audience to stand up and buss gums in front of everyone! They would announce which couple they had selected and they were to stand and do the honours to show the married couple how they were to do it, and how to keep love alive after years, yadda yadda, etc., etc... A novel idea, nuh true! Guess who was one of the couples they pulled it on too.. Nuh Natty and me, sah! Anyways, dem was bredrins and we were troopers, so we submitted to their request. So did everyone else they selected over the course of the evening, actually! I am going to leave you here for now, bwoy! Mi tyad! TGIF! Have a good weekend...
