I don't know about you, but I think that is great advice. Horace was a real sage!
Anyway, let me offer you heartfelt thanks for stopping by and reading my stuff, and for the gift of your comments throughout 2005. I won't lie, even if you hadn't dropped by, I would probably still be here plugging in posts to this blog, but your contribution has added an immeasurable richness to the site (IMHO, anyway).
I look forward to your continuing contributions in 2006.

What a Gwaan
So what have you all been up to? Me, I have been keeping busy having fun. On Boxing Day we boxed around Natty's sister's house, chatting with family and getting up to date with what has been going on in our lives and stuff like that.
In the evening, I went to a kiddie birthday party for a good friend's child. That turned out to be excellent, as that friend shares quite a number of friends in common with Natty and I and all of these shared friends were at their child's party, so we were able to catch up with plenty friends, all at the same time. It was great!
Yesterday, MBJr. and I were invited to Lime Cay! That was excellent as well! It was actually the very first time that MBJr. had been out in a Jamaican canoe and he really loved it. They were running quite fast too, and he thought we were racing with the other boats making their way to the Cay, and he loves to win, so he was in his element. There is more...

C'mon Boy, I Wanna Make You Sweat! Rub that....
Bwoy, I am sweating like a pig! I was just shooting some hoops with my nephew. What a lot of fun that was! Its not the first time I've tried that, but I don't think I have played basketball as much as five times in all my life! I actually managed to sink some baskets too! It was pretty cool!
I am just sitting here to cool off before I go to nyam some breakfast of roasted Yellowheart Breadfruit and some fried up ham! Isn't Christmas time glorious?!
I think I am going to buy a hoop and a basketball when I get back home. Of course, there is a bit more... click the link below nuh?

Blogger Linkup Info
Well, so far, it seems that the best time and place for the linkup is at 7:00 - 7:30pm on Wednesday, 28/12/2005 at La Cabana, which is on Hope Road, between the clock at Half Way Tree and the intersection with Waterloo Road and Knutsford Blvd., just below Colour World (the photo place) and on the same side. Be there or be square! If you have objections to the date, time or place, make them known in the comments.
Have a whale of a time over the season, but don't drink and drive and leave all the ham for me.

Merry Christmas!
Hey, all! How are you doing? How has the Christmas been treating you? Has Santa been good to you yet? Bwoy, he has been good to me! So far, apart from plenty rum, he has given me a hot new cue stick for pool! Yes, and Santa told me that the owner of the store where he got me the cue stick is a player of note here in Jamaica! He told me that this august gentleman has played with several players with international ratings, the best of which is the Black Widow herself! 
Santa was kind enough to give it to me before Christmas Day too, so I decided to test it out at Peppers, a well known spot here in Jamaica. It has eight tables, whereas Corner Pocket in Cayman only has five, but then it is a much bigger place. Peppers has three bars and they have slot machines, and also, they sell food. They do have a lot more space to play with though, so it is a much bigger affair.
Where Peppers is lacking is that they don't have any nice looking latinas to serve you drinks and ting, but anyway...
The tables at Peppers are in a lot better shape than the tables at Corner Pocket right now too, and I was surprised at how much that affected my game. The balls would just keep on rolling forever, often way past where you were expecting, and indeed praying that it would stop. Nevertheless, I do think that I managed to get my cue stick off to a pretty satisfying start, and I want you all to join me in wishing my stick a long and successful career. Oh, you know, I really ought to name the stick. Do any of you have any ideas for a good name for a nice, well mannered, christian raised (but nowadays "out and bad" 
) cue stick?
Anyway, today is Christmas Eve, and it is the last time for me to wish you the compliments of the season. I therefore take this opportunity to wish for you and yours a happy, holy Christmas, full of festivities and sharing with family and friends, and I also wish for you a happy, prosperous New Year! Where In the World Is...
Yow. What a gwaan? What are you up to? Want to know what I'm up to? Well, right now, I am sitting here sipping on some V/X and Pepsi and blogging on a bredrin's computer. "Whats so big about that?", you ask? Well, the big deal is who the bredrin is! It is Doctor D's PC that I am taking a borrows off of.
"Huh?", you exclaim! Close your mouth and wipe up that spittle, son! I am sitting at Doctor D's computer in his study in Orange Grove, Jamaica!
"How did that come about?", you gasp. Well, its a long story, so I'ma shorten it. Natty's parents were invited down by her sister in Jamaica, and my Mama was going to be there over the Yuletide season. I got my bonus and while its nothing to drool over, I decided to use some of it to visit Jamaica (and our parents, family and friends) for Christmas 2005! W00T!
We decided to surprise the parents and we were able to successfully do so with Natty's parents! M'Buthulezi seems to have spilled the beans to mi mama, so our surprise didn't come off with my parents! 
Still, we were able to fool one bunch of parents!

By the way, I took a gander at the headlines here in Jamaica and I saw that what I had expected has indeed come to pass! The jury has freed Saddam and his bredrins!

Yo Vivo!
Well, well, well... five days since my last post, can you believe it? I am sure that this is the longest I have been away from my blog in years, probably since I started blogging! Not to worry, it doesn't signal waning interest in the artform. No, what has been happening is that I am going on vacation leave as of midday tomorrow and so I am in a mad scramble to get all my work done before then. As a matter of fact, I got home from work at 11:45 PM or so tonight, and I am only still up because I am waiting on a bredrin from work to call me when he is finished running the nightly processes so that I can log in from home and try to do a thing or two before morning.
I am glad I am going to be on vacation leave after tomorrow, bwoy, you wouldn't understand how much!
So what else a gwaan? What else do I have to tell you? Cho man, wait until later, I am too tired to talk to you now... TTYL, seen?!

"Torture deal? What kind of 'deal' could they have about torture?", I asked myself. And yeah, I clicked the link.
What do you make of it? It sounds to me like Bush was initially for turning a blind eye to torture once it got intelligence he could use. Are you horrified yet?

Up Late, Again?! Sheeiit!
Yes mi bredrins, I am in the house! Whats going on with you all today? Me, I feel like I didn't get anywhere near enough sleep last night. I had been feeling like that from early this morning, shortly after I got to work, and a sistren at work who was passing by my desk actually stopped to comment "Wait, you been smoking plenty weed, or wah?".
At first I thought maybe it was the early signs of pink eye, since Natty had conjunctivitis recently and I had heard it was going around, and so I flashed into the bathroom to check my eyes out. When I looked at myself in the mirror, it was just the normal old tired, red eyed look that I sport sometimes...
I had was to go out and say to the dawta, "So, is that how WEAK the Mary J that you guys smoke over here is?". I mean, c'mon! Hadn't they noticed how far away from me they all had to walk to not be swallowed whole when I was yawning down the place today, man?
And yet, here I am, up late again tonight... What do I blame it on? Guilt? You'll have to click on the link below to find out...

Couple Corny Christmas Jokes
Yes! I am here with you all, and though my visit will be brief, take heart. There is more good stuff on the way. Right now, I am a bit busy, what with work and the stuff I'm doing on some bredrin's websites, so today, I didn't have time enough to scratch my head, let alone come up with a decent post.
Still at this time of year, there are Christmas related jokes that I can share with you, and I have a picture of a lass who I wouldn't mind finding wrapped under the tree on Christmas morning and so what I am going to do tonight is share some of that good stuff with you.

The IceWoman has it!
As Jeff was quick to point out earlier (see comment on previous post), they have chosen a new Miss World! Unnur Birna fromIceland is Miss World 2005! Congrats to her, and to her fellow Icelandians, or Icelanders or whatever you call the natives of Iceland! I am sure that many people there are all excited that their candidate won!
Interestingly enough, Miss Puerto Rico came third over all (she is the Queen of the Caribbean) and Miss Jamaica and Miss American Virgin Islands (winner of the talent competition - Singing) made it to the final fifteen! I'd say the Caribbean did fairly well this year. Big up to them, you done know!
Big up to Jeff too, because I do believe that Miss Puerto Rico was his first choice (at least, from the Caribbean) from day one, and because he managed to 'first' me in announcing Miss Iceland's victory. Clearly he is a man who has the ability to focus on the important things in life, and he has impeccable taste. He is obviously a man who is cut from the same cloth as I am, and I now consider him a brother...

Shooting the Shyte
So, what a gwaan, all crew? I am back in the place again. So what are we going to chat about tonight? Eh? Where have I been? But wait? So me have to report to oonoo now? So oonoo think that you is mah boss, or wah? Chupse! 
Ok, ok, you guessed it! Not a lot has been going on in my neighbourhood... only work. I mean, I have done a couple of things this week, like Wednesday, I went to Rackhams for my usual lunch with my crew from the last place that I worked. It was a great day, actually... plenty sun, nary a cloud in the sky and the beautiful waters of the harbour by George Town, calling out to you. I swear, one of these Wednesdays, I'm just going to abandon the idea of going back to work, and I'm going to find a little spot to hide my clothes and I am just going to chuck off into the water in nothing but my briefs, the waters look that inviting!

Long Time No Laffy Entry.
Well, as I mentioned already, the more pictures you have of a beauty pageant delegate, the better off you are in choosing who will mash the thing up! As more pictures have been coming out, I must say that Miss Jamaica has improved her standing with me personally! Not that I'm saying shes going to be the Caribbean Queen of Beauty, but she is certainly climbing in the standings, my yutes!
Yes, the bookmakers have her in the 3rd position from the Caribbean and I think she is now running fourth for me! Big up, Terry! I am going to give you a nice picture of her to look pon!
Still, she is not the only one who I have shuffled higher in my standings! There is more, peeps...

Happy Birthday, MBJr!
Today is my big son's birthday! W00t! Yeah, he is all of six years old today! Bwoy, I can easily look through my minds eye and see him wrapped in swaddling clothes as he lay in the nursery at Nuttall Hospital just after he was born. He was there, fighting, moving, constantly fighting, and despite the fact that the nurse had wrapped him up quite tightly, in no time at all he had managed to free his little hand from the confines of the blankets.
Yessir, he has always hated blankets and sheets. He doesn't like to be covered with anything when he is sleeping, even when its cold! Up to last night he and I had some struggles over him lying ON the covers instead of under them.
Yeah, he is still in my bed sometimes, but we not going there today, its his birthday! 
Anyway, I'm just using this medium to big him up today!

Will Sean P. Get Wit' Some Pussy...
I just read where the Pussy Cat Dolls are trying to get with Sean Paul! Yes, rasta! How you mean, how did I hear that? No, I am not moving in those rarified circles, but I can read and it was in the Jamaica Star newspaper.
Hey, the Pussy Cat Dolls are hot, you know!
Their Smash single, 'Don't Cha Wish Your Girlfriend was Hot Like Me!' had me singing along, Iyah, I just couldn't help it! The guys at work kept telling me to be careful what I was singing and all, but I just kept right at it, and then the Pussy Cat Dolls came out with "Stick wit' You" and I love that too.
I think it would be a good idea for Sean Paul to get wit' them, you done know! (and he is single so I do mean that in all senses of the phrase... especially that Nicole one! I wonder if shes the freaky one? 
Still, I am getting jealous of Sean Paul, you know! Whats he got that I don't? Well, I know, he has lots more money and women and ting, but I mean in terms of talent! Hell, when I was younger I would to build my own lyrics! I think they were pretty hot! I think I need to go do a ting, maybe I can bruck out like Sean Paul did! What you think?
