Hes smart…
MB. Jr. is a very smart little guy, even if I do say so myself. You can definitely see the mental development going on. He has conjunctivitis at the moment. The last time he had it, he would fight you everytime you wanted to put the medicine in his eyes. This evening, Natty told me that she attempted to put the medicine in his eyes and once again, he began to put up a stiff fight. This time she tried to appeal to his reason… She said to him “Don’t you want to let me put it in? You know that if I don’t do it, Daddy will do it when he comes home, and you know he’ll just hold you down and do it!”. He thought that over for a second and then he let her do it…
Maybe it’s not a matter of reasoning and development, rather a matter of preference! What do you say about that Mad Bull? Just kidding.
Actually, it is a matter of preference. He knows that what she says is true… and he decided he’d prefer to do it on his own terms rather to be held down and forced to endure the eyedrops by me.
By the way MB, I should ask you, do the drops sting his eyes or does it sooth his eyes thereafter the stinging (if it stings)?
By the way, what is conjunctivitis? I’ve heard of it but never enquired what it was all about…please enlighten me if and when you can ok. Thanks a lot!
As a mom and a nurse, I’ve had to give more eyedrops than humanly possible. If a child is willing to let one person do it and no one else…….you go with what works.
Rufie, is pink eye!
Mad Bull, let me educate you, he has a bacterial conjuctivitis, which is perhaps due to Haemophilus infulenzae.
Pink eye is a viral illness which causes a haemorrhagic conjunctivitis. Ah nuh de same ting my yute!
Jus cool, I could not resist.
