Y’all Should Try This
Do you believe in astrology? Do you think that when you are born influences the type of person you turn out to be? Personally, I don’t really subscribe to this kind of thing, but still, I catch myself reading up on my horoscope from time to time.
I found this link at Red Eagle’s blog. Its a link to a page where you select your birthday and it lists a few things about you and your personality. I tried it myself and here are the results :
Beautiful but full of melancholy
attractive
very empathetic
loves anything beautiful and tasteful
loves to travel
dreamer
restless
capricious
honest
can be influenced but is not easy to live with
demanding
good intuition
suffers in love but finds sometimes an anchoring partner
Quite a few of these are remarkably close to home! What does that say about your birthday determining what you’re like? Hmmm….
I don’t subscribe to horoscopes (maybe when I was a youngster) and the like. Our personalities are moulded over time….we are heavily influenced by the personalities of our parents, families and friends. Experiences which we encounter in life also help us to become ultimately who we are. Also, I do believe that part of our charcaters are moulded from very early in life and these factors I cited above help to impact what the final package becomes.
I know lots of people who share birthdays that are very similar and have quite different personalities…in fact there are twins who have very different personalities. The fact that some of these character traits may fit you could just be coincidence. Anyway, as I’m no astrologer, all of what I said above may simply amount to a load of BS!
When you read your horoscope in the papers, they are so vague that you can just about force them to fit your day. Someone who wants to believe, can find “truth” in them. As long as you take them as fun, I don’t see the harm in doing them. I visited this site, too, and many of the traits are right for me. Would you say that you are melancholy?? And, is Natty your anchor? *G*
I wouldn’t say that I am melancholy, but Natty tells me all the time that I look sad, so… I dunno… And no, Natty isn’t my anchor, she is my wings! She helps me to fly!
